It is ageist, and it serves to downplay the real issue with Biden, and reinforce the narrative that Biden’s flaw is how many years he has existed on earth. Biden is in severe mental decline, and that’s why voters are abandoning him. You can be 50 years old and experience severe mental decline, and it would be a disqualifying criteria for many voters, despite you only being 50. You can be 80 years old and not suffering from severe mental decline, which is why many voters are sticking by, or even switching to Trump despite his age.

The point is, people are jumping ship from Biden to Trump (a man who is also 80 years old) because Biden is in severe mental decline and Trump is not. You can be in severe mental decline at 50, though rare, and it would make you a less viable candidate than an 80 year old who is still cognitively capable.

I don't care about the age, either. And he/she does not need to have the quickest witts out there. But Joe Biden's mind is simply gone and it has been gone for years now. The times that he did look reasonably sharp probably had drugs involved. They weren't able to pull him through the debate, so it goes to show how far he is gone.

It helps all of us if we have a Republican Congress (though...if they would only have the balls to do something to stop things like transing children and protect women instead of trans...). Not to mention it helps your state and local governments if they aren't Democrats. See California for why you don't want a blue state. See Chicago for why you don't want a blue city.

Trump supporters need to get out and VOTE. Even if Kamala polls higher than Joe, that doesn't mean she is going to inspire anyone to actually get out and vote for her.

What a stark contrast. It actually puzzles me how NH votes democrat, but it looks like that might change this time. NH is easily the best state in New England. Combine that with the forest nature and I'd probably rather move there than to Florida. And as a Texan who visited NH years ago, I definitely appreciated this little tex-mex restaurant there which was surprisingly good.

Trump was shown winning in the latest New Jersey and New Hampshire polls. If you consider that NV, AZ, NC and GA are all likely to go to Trump (They're over 3% in most recent polls), then it comes down to this: Whoever the Dems run, would have to win ALL EIGHT of MN, WI, MI, PA, NJ, VA, NH and the overall Maine votes, and all of those states are within margin of error.

Other than inflation (which was bound to happen as a ripple effect from the pandemic), what's so bad? Biden got the vaccine rollout going, passed a bunch of bills including the infrastructure bill thru a divided congress, the chips act so that America doesn't have to rely on two countries to supply chips. I agree that his cognitive abilities are an issue, but good lord, Donald Trump is a terrible person. He tried to overturn an election, inspired a mob to attack our capital, and mismanaged the biggest presidential test since the Cuban Missile Crisis.

North Carolina, a traditional tobacco farming state, has seen a huge influx of people moving from liberal states. This influx is 90 percent military. It has turned our state's vote purple and I'm extremely sad about this. We have millions of people move in from Cluckafornia. They have ruined the state from where they came and now ruining our beautiful state due to their liberal vote. I can only believe that this was a strategy of the liberal white house. The problem is not the election or Biden. The problem for the Democrats (and Republicans) is the minor leagues which are responsible for developing seasoned and qualified candidates.

Just an FYI; Illinois isn’t as blue as everyone would have you believe, out of 102 counties maybe 4-6 vote for Democrats, the rest of the counties are republican. Illinois should split at the center and rename itself to the state of southern Illinois.

It isn’t because of his age. It more about his poor performance.

He cannot legally drop out because it’s too late and the delegates have already been assigned. The only way out for him is the 25th amendment.

Very interesting. I don't think any of the other Democrat likely Biden replacements will risk their future careers under these strange circumstances so I think that rules out Newsome and Whitmore and leaves us with the less know candidates and Kamala (who is my guess at who they'll replace him with if they do). Michelle Obama just doesn't want the job since she already has a cushy life so I think she's out as well.

You're overthinking, but not enough. The most fundamental axis of division among all people is principled/unprincipled. We finally have one good candidate to vote for, and that's more than we could say, in 2008 or 2012, when McCain and Romney were only on the ticket to prevent honest people from being the candidate.
