In life one is many. In death many is one. Not that it matters. What matters is love. Love is why one is many. Love is why one is life. Caveat emptor: there is no death... all is self and the reason of self is love.

Pranam Swamiji. Your talk reminded me of this poem by Sri Aurobindo 🌷 “I have a hundred lives” - Sri Aurobindo I have a hundred lives before me yet To grasp thee in, O spirit ethereal, Be sure I will with heart insatiate Pursue thee like a hunter through them all. Thou yet shalt turn back on the eternal way And with awakened vision watch me come Smiling a little at errors past, and lay Thy eager hand in mine, its proper home. Meanwhile made happy by thy happiness I shall approach thee in things and people dear And in thy spirit’s motions half-possess Loving what thou hast loved, shall feel thee near, Until I lay my hands on thee indeed Somewhere among the stars, as ’twas decreed.

Modern research on Near Death Experience by Raymond moody, reincarnation memories by Ian Stevenson/Jim trucker and past lives regression by Brian Weiss all independently but coincidentally show that our consciousness survive death, we live many lives and our thoughts and actions matter in the hereafter. So be kind and helpful to others, be virtuous, meditate and cultivate ourselves to higher spiritual levels. Cheers.

Life as a mystery has given us many darshans where beings were witnessed as going beyond being. Some darshans say this deity exists, some darshans say pure consciousness, some darshans say just enjoy and chill. They are all right. We can't reserve love for one and not for the other. That's why it says, love knows no bounds. Love is the answer.

Thanks for the informative talk 🙏 one correction is Dwaitha Vedantha says that there are three types of souls (Sathwa, Rajas, Thamas) based on their vasanas or tendencies accrued over many births, however after learning the souls evolve to higher realms. There is no eternal hell or heaven in Dwaitha or any other vedantic tradition. Except Moksha (Salvation) everything else is temporary.

Swami Medhananda is one such Monk! I have such gratitude and love for these humble, intelligent knowledgeable and divine souls, feeling so very blessed to hear such teachings and insights.🙏 This talk is so wonderful though there is little here that i have not examined for myself in these 67 years of "life", this time round. I read Raymond Moody's Life After Life in '75 as a 19 year old identified American "Christian" back in the day, there has always been an understanding of an eternal soul. Now, as an initiated Hindu Monk (Sadhu) of the Bharathi Order living these last days in India there is nothing but gratitude and love for this entire life. The marriages, divorces, cancers, children, joys and sorrows of a worldly life and, now, the renunciate life. My Ishta Devata is H.H. Bhagwan Sri Yogi Ramsuratkumar Jaya Guru Raya (and Arunachala) though the same Divine Love and recognition holds for the aforementioned Divine One(s) 🕉️❤️🙏 and others such as Bhagwan Sri Ramana Maharshi, Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, Neem Karoli Baba, Anandamayi Ma, Sri Aurobindo/Holy Mother Meera, Swami Papa Ramdas/Mathaji Krishnabai, Ma Devaki Devi and my Guriji, Sri Sadhu Professor V. Rangarajan of Bangalore. There is only One. And not even that. With Infinite Gratitude, humility and Divine Love (for that is what we are) sami🌈

Thank you very much, Swami, for this precious contribution! I would just like to draw your attention to the revolutionary discoveries of the last few years. Luckily, we will never more limit to epistemological arguments! Although subtle, they will never be able to alter the deep seated certainties of current scientists!. Ours is an exciting time, full of wonders! Not only did we realize what a near-death experience is (thus rediscovering both the souls and God), but we entered in contact with the so-called departed ones, in the Beyond!! The instrumental Trans-Communication (TCI) is not the crazy fantasy of an acute psychotic patient! I know that even Moody, now at Columbia, does not know about this, even though two of the main researchers were American! Therefore, there is ample evidence now for confronting with Nachiketas' questions. Furthermore, what the so-called deceased have told us is that they have a body! Time to read attentively also the Taittiriya Upanishad! A great question mark remains, for me, about whether EVERY human being has a sukshmasharira. What was written about this point in the Vedic scriptures? Also the shudra and the out-casts have a sukshmasharira? Matin et

Religiosity promulgates goodness; this is self-defence when it is violent. The same goes for Islam, Judaism, Christianity or any other religious society on the earth. However, the conflict starts when culture is mixed with it, setting personal scores by misusing religion, etc.; this is the place where many paths begin emerging, changing the minds of followers. Having said that, non-believers, atheists, agnostics, and deists, get fed up with the messed-up ambivalence and decide to take the risk of renouncing and denouncing may be because of emotionally and intellectually driven reasons apparently. Thank you for reading.

But we are never told what is that bad karma we have done for which we are suffering. We are left ignorant about our fault but mercilessly thrown into the suffering. Why we are punished without being informed about the specific fault or bad karma for which we suffer??? Pronam Moharaj.

may he rest in peace, if we look into things "Karmically" , I believe every thing that an individual experiences starting from the family one is born to , the quality of life one experiences , the life span , the way of passing away is a result of karmic debt one has accumulated from past life or lives. The karmic debts ought to be cleared in order to attain liberation or salvation. There is no judgment here , its just about clearing our karmic debts. As long as there is karmic debt there shall be rebirth and surely there shall be passing away. Acceptance of what is :" loving one's fate = Amore fati " I believe can help reduce our suffering in the process of clearing our karmic debts

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your dear son. It is sad that he passed on at an early age. We suffer and suffer a lot at these kinds of great losses in our lives because you had had raised him and saw him grow. With all the time you had spend on him our mind also develops "attachment". This attachment makes us suffer. Although we know many people die every day it does not affect us unless and until we loose one of our own. As swamiji said we never die only material body dies. We reincarnate to take up another body at an appropriate time. Only thing we do not know where they are born and when. Life is a mystery.

Every being comes with a "package of karma". This package of karma is a small package of big storage we all have. Karma needs to be experienced by this individual during his full life. When this package of karma is finished the life comes to an end. This is the usual trend. But sometimes the individual gets killed by accidents or some other reasons; meaning..... without finishing the package. In order to finish that package of karma another life has to take place. This is what I think from reading different scriptures. There are babies who are stillborn in one extreme...and on the other extreme..... there are who live 100 years. any one can leave the body at any time depending on the data they have.

How do the ghosts fit in? Those that seem to wander around, either not realized they've died, or unsure what to do. Some even manage to take over the body of someone living (your energies are not suitable to find a womb)! I've heard that during astral projection, you can go back and help your younger self.. so in essence you are your higher self in another timeline?! For example, I understand you die and go to the vibrational level that you were at, but what's on the other side directing if you come reincarnate as a bacteria or an alien? And if we are all part of the single mind, no good no bad, just the one consciousness.. how is doing "good" reducing the karma? If not, what practices should you be doing on earth to neither come back, NOR live forever as part of an eternal mind. What if you just want your personal unique experience / lights to go out?

At 29 minutes and 26 seconds where he is comparing the acceptance of scientific plausibilities versus the acceptance of personal spiritual testimony. In regard to that portion. He asks essentially "what's the difference?" The difference between taking science at face value versus the testimony of a saint is that in science there are actively other members that review, analyze, and criticize theories. We don't necessarily have that sort of peer-reviewed validation when it comes to things experienced by the self and prior to sensation. I am a vedanta student and love Vedanta. So I'm not arguing against it just to be clear. I also love science, and I have to be fair when cognating things of this nature. Side note, I'm looking for a guru or a teacher and am in the Pacific Northwest. Oregon to be specific. If anyone out that way has any advice please let me know. I would like to have someone in my personal life that I can lean on.

Yeah that's a good doubt. I am a physics teacher myself and I also study Advaita Vedanta. Now so as you said that don't necessarily have that sort of peer-reviewed validation in spirituality, it is not entirely true. If you take the Bhagavad Gita, it is not based on Arjuna's belief, it is full of doubt and questions which Arjuna asked Sri Krishna just to analyze what he was saying. Then thousands years after the Gita there came modern teachers (relatively to the Vedic age) like Adi Shankaracharya and others who commented and did a critical observation of Krishna's teachings. There are countless examples like that. Sri Ramakrishna had a vision of Kali and Krishna. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu also had that experience. So even if they are few, but experiences of divinity has been common to some extraordinary people through ages including Jesus Christ and Buddha and on and on... However since it is an subjective experience, it requires your own realization to visualize the Truth. I hope I have been able to explain.

soul is not born. It was there before; it is there now and it will be there in the future. "soul" is nothing but "Soul" in Maya. It is a game that God plays to know Himself. He is unconscious as well as "Conscious". How can God be unconscious and conscious simultaneously? This is a mystery for us. One day....we will understand. One day this individual unconscious God will become Conscious of His infinitude and he will experience Infinite knowledge, infinite power and infinite blissful state. God in the dream state asks a question "Who Am I" and He will get an answer "Aham Bramasmi" or I am God.

Sorry to opine that heard many Vivekananda Samiti monks *avoided to use the term of **_SOUL_* but *like to use a term of **_ATMA, ie. SELF,_* as they feel western word soul fails to properly address one's inner self. KIndly explain using a standardized terminology from similar organizations like *_Vivekananda Samiti or Ramakrishna Monastery,_* otherwise, it can be very confusing, please use proper terminologyas per *_VEDIC / VEDANTIC SYSTEMS._*

How can one say karma is the cause of good or bad when one's karma depends on so uncontrollable factors such as genetic, familial, societal, environmental, and a host of others. What about the first time you are born ,what karma decides your life. We are living on some theories and fantasy toted by some sages or minds that had no access to the kind of research and information that is available today. The functining of the human brain is too complicated for an average human to comprehend. Unverified theories such as soul rebirth etc are much easier to digest. Please wait until the functining of the brain is scientifically explained. We are alll products of evolution which has taken a billon years probably. Don't expect answers in a few years. Evolution will sooner or later create a SUPER EINSTEIN who will explain and unravel the mystery of our universe , its creation and the creatin of life. Meanwhile do not believe in some mumbo-jumbo. THERE IS NOTHING MYSTERIOUS about the universe and life. It is possible. Death is the end of a process, possibly electro chemical procees. Concept of existence of soul is out dated. No shred of evidence for rebirth. A lot of godmen keep on parroting the same old unverifed theories of soul ,karma, rebirth and what have you.

Good question. Jesus said "Seek and ye shall find" (Matt 7:7). He didn't say you couldn't discard what you find. What matters is what's true, not what anybody believes. Including everybody. Seek and ye shall find, but don't throw it away because it doesn't affirm a self-righteous worldview, however well-meaning and loving that worldview may be. Loving people doesn't make one immune from deception. Jesus Christ made religion obsolete 2000 years ago. Religions are usually identified by costumes, hats, and aesthetic conformity, however outwardly harmless and even beautiful those aesthetics may be. Some of them hang crosses on the wall; most of them do not. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the father, but by me" (John 14:6). It's either true, or it's not, regardless of what anybody believes. Including everybody. Remember, self-righteousness is righteousness defined by the self; Christ-righteousness is righteousness imputed on us by Christ. Who either was (and is) God, or was (and is) not, regardless of what any of us believe. If you have ever defined your own moral code, you are, by definition, self-righteous. Keep seeking. Good luck,

Mumbo jumbo like material from some swamis, no real solution for normal people. Read Theosophy to understand the astral world, writers like Leadbeater and Besant wrote on this plane. People with addictions won't do well here untill their astral atoms change over time (alcohol, sex, etc.), and suicides also are given karmic punishment for a while. But most others can be happy enough here. They can listen to astral music, find astral libraries, build homes from thought, etc. A pure and more spiritual life on earth makes the astral plane a better experience.
