I'm new to the spin 2. Do you have your crossfader cutting mode turned on in your djay pro/djay 2? Mine lacks a lot of sensitivity and seems to cut off much more of my cuts. Should i turn off this feature?

if your scratching cutting mode needs to be turned on to the sharpest cut. If you just mixing then you can turn it off.

I didn’t know Casio made DJ stuff! I know they make cool synthesizers and watches! BTW: My watch and my synthesizer are both Casios

Thanks for this-using original Spin but when searching for tracks when one is playing I often hit a pre-set key on the computer and get a bad result e.g loop when I don't want one etc-is there a way to disengage the presets on the computer

Yes you can turn off any of the buttons in the djay program under the midi settings.

I got a used vestax spin. I have a new laptop. I plugged the USB to my windows 11 laptop and nothing happens. Laptop doesn't see it. I am a complete newbie.
