What Happened to the SunnyV2 Victims?

Ойын-сауық

Over the last 3 years, SunnyV2 has built himself up to be seen as the grim reaper of the KZread community, one single well-crafted SunnyV2 downfall documentary, could quite literally end a KZreadrs career.. But how accurate is that? Where are his victims today? and what happens when SunnyV2 misses the mark on said victims?
Note to viewer: KZread decided to age restrict and limit this video earlier today, KZread didn't tell me why or what rule I broke so I blurred some things that could have accidentally upset the KZread age restriction robot. KZread rejected my appeal and now I have re-edited portions of the video to hopefully be able to have it grow and reach the audience it was destined to reach. Thanks.

This video was looking to be one of my most popular videos until KZread age restricted this video for no stated reason. All clips used in the video were already on KZread without restriction, I appealed the age restriction but it was immediately rejected (I am assuming by an AI). If you have already seen this, I would really appreciate if you played it in the background so the video has a chance at getting the reach it could have had. Thank you, and enjoy.

I think Moist Critikal said it best about internet cancellations. There are only two ways someone can get truly cancelled on the internet, they get deplatformed (like Leafy) or they just decide themselves to stop posting (like JennaMarbles). But if someone just ignores it and continues uploading like normal they'll still retain at least a portion of their audience, I don't think most people understand this

Of course, it also depends on what you are accused of, such as if you are Colleen Ballenger (and her family and friend group), who is laying low but people aren't leaving her alone. And rightfully so, if the allegations are true (which I believe since it's public how she treats Jojo Siwa). ...well, laying low after that dumb ukelele "apology" video, anyway.

I feel like the reason why SunnyV2's strategy of letting the drama be and quietly moving away from it is so effective because of the ever-changing landscape of the internet. Sure, SunnyV2's controversy might be the main topic to clown on for months but because the internet changes so frequently, there will eventually be so many other things that happens to the point that It's forgotten about and completely shadowed over other things that the drama becomes irrelevant, and even if there still remained a hate mob, it would be extremely little. SunnyV2's editing style and documentaries still remain entertaining which only means that SunnyV2 only gains more and the drama lessens, not only this but the drama might be a GOOD thing for SunnyV2 at times because it sometimes only serves to put more traffic into Sunny's channel as noted before that the drama will just disappear To conclude it, when drama happens, not only will the drama disappear but SunnyV2 will actually GAIN from it at times, cancellation is only as bad as you make it be.

I have never been a fan of Sunny, mainly because I don't like when people try to shape narratives to tell me how I SHOULD feel over just giving the information and letting me decide how I feel about it. Sunny wants people to agree with him, so he builds a narrative to fit with his opinion. To me, that's the easier form of content. It's always easy to pick thing that support your argument, it's harder when introducing pieces that refute it. I think that's why these days, news sources and the world in general are so divisive. People are less willing to have discussion and have people disagree, so they craft their arguments to make everyone come to their point by leaving out the information that disagrees.

He's very smart in that sense and while I do agree not all of his videos are researched perfectly and he uses a lot of cherrypicking to form a narrative, they're high quality, easy to watch documentaries, so you'll always have a loyal following who will continue to watch him.

Especially, when the advice was his ill-formed opinion that addiction is something easy to get over. That's just one of the issues. Any person who cherry-picks things isn't giving you the reality of someone, they are selling you a fallacy about someone. Also, Any person saying you just have to do blah blah to get over addiction is an idiot who just wants to parade their own moral "superiority" over others. Nothing about addiction "is just". Addictions are not easy and anyone who tries to convince you they are, is lying. My take is that Sunny isn't an active participant in internet drama because he's not a traditional content creator. He's not a streamer or relying on his own personal image to float his subscribers. He posts video essays that start with a hypothesis and then explores that hypothesis with supporting evidence. Some evidence is anecdotal at best, but alot of it is factual (especially statistics), which the audience can either accept or reject after critically engaging with it. That's the point of an essay. Sunny doesn't have to respond to anything because, he doesn't need to. The point of his content is to create debate.

"Never (ever) apologize" There was a video thumbnail that SunnyV2 made on James Charles that had those words. Just a theory, but I think that's what his strategy has become. Giving any kind of attention to the controversies would give those that called him out justification, which would further incite them to double down on him. Outrage marketing is a thing after all, so he's being cautious.

@@farenhaight4133 ...and that's what anyone with a clear mind would be doing. Whether his content's quality (and his intentions) is considered good or not, he still simply makes videos discussing internet drama through his own narrative that he just doesn't show any interest in arguing about. He keeps doing what works for him and doesn't care to respond to accusations like these. I myself think this is a very respectful approach - why should he respond/apologize if he knows very well that nothing will change afterwards? If he planned on actually making a change in his content after the drama he would refer to it.

The thing about sunnyv2 is he does his research and gives his opinion based on what he has found and a lot of the internet wouldn't agree 100% with said opinions and obviously there would be times his opinions are proven wrong eventually or be taken negatively because people wouldn't agree with it. Take chris for example a lot of people would say its transphobic but that is just his take on the situation, you can not ridicule a man for having his own thoughts and opinions towards certain topics or conversations, and he isn't afraid to share that opinion whether he gathers bad attention or good, he's over all just a guy who has his take on a topic and I guess thats what majority of his fanbase subscribes for, the raw black and white take on certain topics and i agree with it every man deserves his opinion whether someone is against it or with it regardless.

His video on Skeppy definitely summarized this point the most when it comes to missing the mark on the "victim." Skeppy literally made an entire video dedicated to responding to SunnyV2's video, and he literally edited it himself in the same way he did his older videos, all out of pure spite. Skeppy also calls out Sunny on his own bullshit, and it's quite interesting how one-sided Sunny makes it feel, when in all actuality, it's just Sunny trying to take the moral high ground to feel superior to the ones he is "criticizing." Love the content man, you never cease to amaze with the quality and skills that you possess. If I may ask, how do you do the effects that you do in the video with the transitions between shots, what editing software do you use and how could I gain access to it? LMAO /srs

I’m neutral in regards to his content, it’s nothing new compared to other drama documentaries but it’s not badly done either, as for him as a person I’m not sure. Heard he got into some drama over a Chris guy and whatnot, but he’s still doing great numbers because he’s basically found a way to deal with cancel culture by simply not saying anything and letting it die out. The silence definitely wouldn’t hold well in response to something terribly scandalous, but so long as he keeps this up he’ll still have an audience somewhere. Sunny knows better than to engage with the drama, it's just smart. Turning the other cheek is always the best way to diffuse drama, because the drama itself draws attention. Of you dint feed into drama, there's nothing to stoke those flames and it'll die out. I think the fact is that his videos simply have varying effects like any content. Most of the time, it went affect his subject at all, due to extremely low crossover in viewership. Some videos may cause some damage, but other videos help bring attention to dint creators and give them a new chance with a new audience. This is one of those cases where it you use sunny press right, you could end up reviving channels. In the end they're just youtube videos that talks about people however they want just like this one.
