i think we've all gotta remember that during the sister squad, emma was barely 17, the twins were 18 and james was 18 too. they were all just kids and were still finding themselves when they were friends. and then the twins' dad passed which forced them to grow up a bit more mentally, meaning they probably distanced themselves from the other two. i don't think it was all the scandals and stuff that split up the sister squad: i think they all just grew up and grew out of each other. can we all sit here and seriously say we've never grown out of a friend? no, they've all found themselves now and are so so so content with their lives and i genuinely just think that they just drifted naturally.

Y'all it actually was confirmed that Emma and Ethan were dating. The man that did the interview with the blurred out polaroids told the story in another video. The context is a little off bc I can't fully remember but someone else asked him something along the lines of "what was an issue/ mistake you've made" and he said "I was interviewing this girl who had a boyfriend but didn't want anyone to know about it, it wasn't public. But her eagle eyed fans saw the pictures in the background and correctly guessed who it was so she asked me to take the video down, blur and reupload." SO THEY WERE DATING! And they broke up shortly before the sister squad ordeal.

@@jonathanford9482 growing up should make them less problematic if anything, that’s a terrible excuse. Growing up means you’re learning and literally growing as a person. I think the Dolan twins were putting on an act for the camera because it got them views, if what they’re showing now is their true personality then fine, everyone is entitled do what they want, but when you share your life publicly people are going to have things to say. I used to love them, but if this is who they truly are then I don’t want to support them, and I think many people feel the same way. Everyone can do what they want as long as it’s not harming others or themselves, so if you want to support them by all means, but saying “they’re growing up” as an excuse for their behaviour is not it 😂

You know they were faking all of their emotions in their last videos. Now they are being real with us. They aren’t faking their emotions. Yes they have made many many mistakes. But that doesn’t mean they need hate. Before they didn’t want to film. They had to film 20 minuet videos. Now they are around 4-10 minutes so they don’t lose their passion again. Their death of their father has taken a huge turn on their mental health. And they needed to grow up faster than the regular teenager. Please think about what everyone is going through before you hate on 2 20 year old boys

I lost my mom in 2016 and I was so toxic literally up until last year. I can't imagine dealing with fame on top of it. Not making excuses for the Dolan twins behavior. I loved the sister squad. But grief can take many turns.

seeing james with the tiktokers makes me miss the sister squad even more. They just dont have that spark.

OKAY honestly, even before all of this drama with the dolan twins, i ALWAYS felt so uncomfortable during those sister squad days when the twins would make fun of emma or belittle her. yea it was “joking around” but there is always some truth behind jokes.

Ive heard they broke up coz James didnt go to the Twins' Dad's funeral but I mean alotta ppl skip funerals because its not something they ga handle. Plus, many believe funerals are for the living and just coz James did not attend does not mean he ddnt respect their father

My opinion: JC was really flirty with the Dolan's, and they're straight so they got uncomfortable. Plus the Dolan twins lost their dad which causes major depression and anxiety issues. They just couldn't handle the spotlight as much.

The sister squad is the definition of iconic

Did y’all miss out on 2019 where the Dolans were literally the first ones to check on James after the scandal? James said so himself. Then in a recent video of theirs in relation to the sister squad, the Dolans said that just because they aren’t following people on socials doesn’t mean they aren’t friends. You only see what you are exposed to. Don’t blame the twins for this. Probably broke up because Emma and Ethan got all awkward since Ethan is with Kristina and Ethma probably was a thing.

@@makennaharris2965 The Dolans didn’t say shit about James being a predator. Jeffree Star made that shit up to make him look bad. Hence, which is why James even said that they were the first ones to call him and check if he’s ok. They broke Emma’s mental health? You don’t know that. You don’t know anything until you’ve heard both sides of the story. Grayson was nothing but nice to Emma and Ethan was probably awkward with her since he has Kristina. Everyone had their toxic moment but give the Dolans a break. The second they get real with us, y’all come at them and tear them apart. No wonder THEIR mental health is deteriorating from Social Media.

okay so here’s what i think happened. james story: i have two theories, first i think that james might’ve used the sister squad for clout. cause in the video when they make a ginger bread house the dolan twins said that “james just likes it for the views”. also i might’ve think that they broke up because of the sister scandal with james. dolan twins: i have two theories for this one as well. first of all, i think that they didn’t want to be apart of the drama with james so they all unfollowed him and stayed away. or, the dolan twins were just toxic in general. emma: i think emma was the only one who was actually fine because they both made videos with them. i think that the main reason she left was because emma and ethan broke up. in the podcast “anything goes” by emma she claims in one of her episodes that she was in a committed relationship when she just recently got to LA. we can all guess by now that has to be Ethan since she did join the sister squad. she then said that the person she was in a relationship with was giving her really bad vibes and held her back and was just overall affected her mental health and so, she broke up with them.
