What Happened To The First WWE Performance Center Class?
Спорт
From future NXT, Raw and SmackDown champions like Braun Strowman, Neville and Sasha Banks to the names you forgot even existed, let's take a look at what happened to everyone from the very first WWE Performance Center class.
A huge thanks to Rob Naylor, Kassius Ohno and future WWE Champion Mojo Rawley for helping us identify some of the faces in the photo.

Can't believe being the first wrestler on the "What happened to that wrestler?" theme wasn't listed as one of Mason Ryan's biggest accomplishments..

I love how no-one EVER points out that he, like former TNA champ (& Mickie James’ husband) Nick Aldis, was a former lead Gladiator on the revived UK TV show. Both legitimate strong guys with the right physique and, given a chance, capable of handling themselves. The big weakness usually cited for Ryan (aka Goliath) was personality & mic work. I’m pretty sure I remember him as having a strong Welsh accent, which probably stopped Vince & co giving him a proper chance as they didn’t think he could be taken seriously as a monster with that voice. Back then, British primarily still meant Posh or mild cockney, with rare exceptions like Finlay, McIntyre or Sheamus
Most of these guys were Adam Rose's Rose Buds too.

You ever hear a fact, and you're just like "hmm, I never thought about that, but yeah, it's true." That's what I thought when he said Neville/Pac was the only NXT Champion no longer signed to the company.
@RicoTheL3g3nd
Жыл бұрын
Now, Literally there are a number of NXT champs aren't even with the company (Aleister, Adam Cole BAYBAY, Keith Lee, Neville, Bo Dallas, Samoa Joe, Andrade...) and that's just the NXT champions. For the North American Title... It would be easier to count the champs that ARE still with the company.

That intro gives me unbridled joy
Some of these were genuinely surprising. Never actually realised so many familiar indy faces were in this first class.
11:16 You guys totally didn't mean to put woods after paige 😂😂😂
Its amazing how a year later a bunch of these need to be updated again.
Kal Jak also appears semi regularly on Steve and Larson's Going In Raw podcast, where he has some AMAZING insights into NXT around this time, and just wrestling in general. He's a good dude.
Billy Joel is jealous at Pacciti’s ability to sing this song
I’ve met Dak Draper several times in Kansas City where he worked up until he signed with ROH, and he’s awesome. Last time I saw him was in December, at an indy show in KC
So we’re just going to ignore the fact that there was a man who’s last name was Ceman
he is the only guy with an intro that I'm willing to sit through
7:20 I really thought that was Victoria justice lol
We need an updated version of this video because sooooo many of these talents are now with bigger brands and doing so well.

Your effort of work is amazing. Great journalism. Really enjoy your videos. Thank you!
6:21) Simon Gotch without that epic moustache is a cursed image
“And most recently Byron Saxton was kicked in the balls by Steve Austin”
Crazy to see where a lot of these guys and girls are now a year removed from this video. Before all the releases, before NXT 2.0, before Sami grew out his mane and Eli Drake turned to LA Knight. Makes you realize just how fast wrestling is evolving
Good job on tracking down every single one of them. It doesn't sound easy. We appreciate it! Give them a like for the effort and delivery guys!
Knuckles now one of my wrestling coaches! Awesome guy!
Bull Dempsey is still the enforcer of my boy's stable. Bullfit was a great segment.

Man it’s so surprising seeing how many names that are familiar in this class with some who faded away.
Ok gang, starting the video now, lets see if we can get through one of these lists without a death this time! Edit* WOO WE DID IT! Finally a whole list and not one death!
Would be interesting to see an updated version of this as of now! Lots changes in a year!
Thanks for adding me. I own Midwest All Pro Wrestling which is based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
17:28 I’m pretty sure that’s Alister Black, right?
You know history shows us that more times than not, when WWE searches for a new star or holds a competition of any sorts where the winner gets signed, It never works out.

If he's not babbling incoherent promos and slobbering on himself, he's trying to get a shitty 'Thumbs up, thumbs down' thing over, or getting fired from MLW for being a complete moron.

He's not a good speaker, he's not even a half-decent wrestler. He nearly killed himself a few times, he almost killed Eddie Edwards by being a brainless idiot who apparently doesn't know how to work safely, among many other situations even in the indies where he constantly showed no capacity to "look after" his coworkers. And that's why he didn't make it in WWE, just like most of the trash that comes out of CZW.
Loved that subtle CM Punk joke during the Ohno entrance
Holy smokes! I still remember a lot of this talent, I’m glad that from this 1st Class of Performance Center we still have plenty talent on the Main Roster and a lot have been successful.
For the next "where are they now", do one on wrestlers from the 40's! Where are they now?! The grave!
a year later and this video is an entirely different story
The one that got away....LA Knight is concerned.
I appreciate that 3 of these guys showed up in the intro song.
You left a little bit out on Nick Dinsmore. Eugene is also the owner of Midwest All Pro Wrestling School (putting South Dakota on the MAP for Pro Wrestling) in Sioux Falls, SD. Nick was also instramental in training Shana Baesler (also from Sioux Falls).
Been waiting to like this video since tagging Pacitti in the original tweet, I feel like part of the team now
I forgot how hard pacciti works for this channel, quite proud ❤️
Kal Jak is friendo of Going In Raw's Steve Here, and his co-host And Larson.
That “All of them good Lucha things” line gave me a good chuckle lol.
Awesome list...nice seeing all the good wrestlers doing great things👍
This was really well done.
I'm in another window listening to the video and I hear "Canyon Ceman". What a absolute jewel of a name.
I like this quickfire style of video with the larger amount of people in the list
Gotta admit I chuckled a bit when I heard Canyon Ceman 😂
That intro is the best intro in all of KZread
I rarely watch. But i can't help but dance when that intro starts!
This is great, I'd love to see one for each PC class.
WHAT?! Mason Ryan is in Cirque Du Soleil here in Vegas? That's such a surprise! That picture of him in full costume seems to be from The Cirque Du Soleil production of KA. I think that is done at Treasure Island (TI) Hotel and Casino.
Watching this in 2023 and seeing u talk bout LA Knight is awesome

“Zulu, what is Zulu?”- Will McKenzie
Don't really have time to watch it now but I love th intro so I 'm gonna listen to it and go back to work
in trying times like now (mid COVID-19) its kinda cool hearing the intro with it being something of a tribute to "we didn't start the fire" and just let ourselves think about all the stuff we as a people have gone through. maybe COVID makes it in to the next "we didn't start the fire" eh. oh well, wrestling lol
Met kal jack multiple times at school this dude is awesome
(6:48) Miro, the BEST MAN on AEW.
0:13 Mojo Rawley, Braun, Baron, and Colin Cassidy!
ADAM ROSE IS A MONSTER!!! 18:35
the song at the beginning of this song has mentioned mason ryan more than the wwe ever has lol
Paige. Then Woods. I see what you did there Adam. 😁 And not forgetting, that extra excitement added when saying Mojo Rawley's name.
You did give OTT Wrestling justice with Joe Cabray there in the top 5 indies on the planet and legendary feuds with Walter and Jordan Devlin and Jordan and David star and multiple 5 star matches and amazing crowd atmosphere
The best wrestling song EVER to go into the topic! Lol
This was a great watch
This is an UNREAL group.
17:34 I was hoping he would sing the theme song again.
Be looking forward to this!
The funny thing about Dan Engler is, I never recognized him as Rudy Charles. I did, however, find myself calling him "Quackenref" because he looks a lot (okay, a *little*) like Mike Quackenbush.
Great vid!
LOL, Canyon Cemen. "Cemen remains with WWE."
Looking at that picture just makes me remember all the talent WWE has had and misused over the years. It’s like a trip down memory lane but with mostly bad ones...
I used to eat at life alive all the time when I lived in new Hampshire and worked on the North shore. They had very good smoothies 👌
that intro song was fire😂
I saw Bull Dempsey wrestle a few times at indy shows at an Eagle Lodge in the town I live in.
I remember that i had cal as a facebook friend, i was rooting for him to succes, havent talk to him in ages
It's so weird seeing the old WWE scratch logo in the PC logo.
