Shout out Mike Evans quietly turning into a HoFer. Barring a down year/finish to his career, he will be an all time great. Currently 13th all time in TDs, 33rd all time in yards and 45th all time in receptions. With an average year from him he could easily jump ten spots in the yards and receptions list this year and will almost certainly be top 10 all time in TDs. It's blasphemous how underrated this guy has been nationally.

Regarding Jake Matthews: Every single GM out there hopes that when they make a top-ten pick, that player goes in to be a 10+ year starter for the team that rarely ever misses games. Doesn't matter what position it is.

I think 2014 at 1 point was going to be classed as an all time great draft, but since OBJ/Carr/Teddy B never became HOF'ers because of injuries it is not an underrated class. There's about 5-6 HOF's which makes it a slightly above average class but so many just dependable starters. GMs hope they get that with every 1st round pick, yes you'd love them to all become superstars but if you could offer a GM that every 1st Rd pick you ever make in your entire career will be 10-12 year starter & you will never have a bust then they'd take it.

I agree, not a bust. A solid player. I think the microfracture knee surgery his rookie yr, made him no longer a freak athlete, just a solid DE or LB in certain schemes. I had the same procedure at the same age.. Obviously not a freak athlete like him, but even with all the rehab and working out, I never gained back the same sideline to sideline mobility. And I think hes had maybe 2 more knee surgeries since… not sure if same knee.

Mike Evans 1st Round 7th overall pick by the Buccaneers TexasA&M University Aggies like this guy is FOR REAL I believe that he's got the Hall Of Fame on lockdown because he has ten straight 1,000 receiving yards to start a career and never look back but in 2020 Evans won a Super Bowl Ring with Tom Brady came around but Mike Evans will not be denied for 2024 he's going for his 11th a thousand yard season too although he may not lead the NFL in Receptions Receiving Yards and TD's but he's definitely Consistent as always so put some RESPECT on this man's name! 9:42

According to Pro football reference he's ironically 13th all time in receiving TDs. He's pretty consistently at the top of the league in receiving TDs. He and Devonte Adam's are both likely to jump into top 10 all time this season. I fucking love Mike and think he's criminally underrated given the career he's had. It's baffling how often he's ignored by media.

At 1 time the 2014 draft was going to be positioned as all timer with the amount of stars but now I think it is probably underrated. I have there being 6 HOFmers (Mack, Evans, Donald, Martin,Adams all for sure & then Matthews/Bitonio both being the sort of player who can sneak in) but there is so many just solid starters in the 2014 class who will never be remembered once they've retired. Clowney - Was drafted based of his measurables potentially making him a HOF edge, but has been a solid Pro who while not living up to the #1 pick status has been a dependable starter everywhere he's gone Robinson - Total Bust Bortles - Fell victim to a changing NFL, he was a pocket passer in a league changing to more mobile QBs. Could have stuck around as a solid vet back up but decided he's made his money & to have a happy life Watkins - Solid oro but injuries took their tole on him being a true star WR. Was probably key in Mahomes becoming the weapon he is today Mack - Likely going to the HOF, another pro bowl season or few just serviceable seasons & he'll be a lock Matthews - Absolute solid pro, above average starting LT. Could be a sneaky HOF pick way down the line in a weak class Evans - 1st Ballot HOF & still somehow the most underrated WR in the league Gilbert - Even bigger bust than Robinson Barr - Solid pro, injuries affected him the last few seasons but could return to be a serviceable this season on a SB contender before officially hanging them up Ebron - Not lived up to the #10 pick but was a solid TE for his career.

Clowney is only 1st Overall I know of that went there based off a single blown block in a bowl game. Both the tackle and the TE stalk down the off ball LB, turning Clowney completely loose at the LOS while the fullback is so obsessed with the CB that he runs right past Clowney who is both inside him and several yards closer. The pulling G guard also inexplicably turns Clowney loose. The only way this play could have possibly worked is for the TE to block down on Clowney w help from the G, who would try to climb to the OLB.
