I’ve just realised I have been watching your channel for over 5 years now as I remember you getting those babies. Still loving your vids now, so informative as well as entertaining and eventually I will be getting another tank myself. Haven’t kept fish for over 20 years and so miss it. You are very inspiring. ♥️♥️♥️♥️

I've only had one experience with fresh water rays - in a public aquarium's petting tank. They are definitely like puppies. Swimming around the tank, coming up the sides to be petted, watching what we were doing while we watched them. Beautiful, fascinating, mesmerizing creatures. Even though you had to do so much yourself to be able to keep them, it was well worth the time and effort you've put into them. I'm thankful to you for sharing them with us for so long.

Size is irrelevant in most cases, I have had mini marble males breed huge hybrids, the males know how to get it done. In most cases they just need some encouragement. One of my groups wouldn’t do anything until I added another male and straight away the first male started to show interest.

Curious because I know how big (more so thick, not to be confused with the massive ones tv fishing shows catch) I don't think I've seen anyone grow any of these exotics out as big as the short tail river rays get..
