I clean my wife's model ships and I use a blush brush to get most the dust then I take a tissue on a stick and wrap it around it and kinda scrub the little skinny places (think long q-tip lol). ANYWAYS BESIDES THE POINT! Hope youre all getting better and hope to see you active again! 😊

Oh, my god....I'm not a regular viewer and just discovered you but I also dealt with this exact. same. thing! Toxic mold, a shitty landlord, the health issues that came from the mold, trying to figure out how much stuff I should just throw out vs keep because I got sick from the mold and so do I really want to be around any of the stuff that's been contaminated even if I technically "cleaned" it and what if it still has mold spores on it that I'm bringing into clean spaces...the hundreds of loads of laundry with vinegar and special mold cleaner, the sheer amount of time and crazy amount of money it takes to deal with this, as well as to recuperate your health, much less start a civil suit....it's in.sane. Sending you wishes for a full recovery and for all of it to be over soon.

I too once lived in a house infected with toxic mold for an unfortunate, miserable, deathly ill 15 years. Yes, I was very very sick. Yes, I am permanently physically impaired from it. The landlords also did nothing for our case. Screw landlords. It's absolutely mortifying to discover mold in your home and body, and I seriously wish you guys the best with your recovery!!!

I'm currently a year out from leaving a similar situation, and still having symptoms/still smelling and feeling it on all my clothes and belongings. Doctors responses have ranged from telling me to get on psych meds (...I am on psych meds) to claiming to run tests for mold toxicity and then not doing it/refusing to answer questions and claiming the test never existed. I'm just trying to figure out whether I'm going crazy here, both in terms of continued contamination and continued health effects. (for what it's worth, the ppl I live rn with claim that any smell has long disappeared and that they aren't experiencing any symptoms. that being said, I AM, and absolutely everyone treats me like im nuts)

Hey, I actually had a similar problem with mold (and am also a costumer), is there any way you've found to actually decontaminate besides just throwing everything away? I'm down to less than 20% of my previous, LOVELY costume stash, and still having constant illness (despite everyone else in my household swearing up and down that they aren't having any symptoms/that they don't smell anything/etc). I understand that it's probably an affect of trauma, not anything physical, but I figured I'd ask what methods you've tried so far/what's worked/what hasn't. Any anecdotes/advice on the medical side would also b welcome as doctors have not been willing to listen.

Man, if you had me there, I would have been able to smell out that mold instantly. I'm terribly allergic to it and I can smell it in a building the instant I walk into them. I'm a walking mold radar. My eyes get all red and puffy and I start having breathing troubles within minutes of being exposed to the typical residential molds. I'm glad things are kinda working out for you? Also... Australia... wow. Didn't see that coming. Enjoy.

Ah, Australian landlords and their habits of completely ignoring renters rights and safety. Possibly the only thing scarier than all our spiders and snakes combined. Probably literally more deadly too. If you haven't already, it could be worth getting in contact with the renter's union for your state - unless you live in SA. For some reason we're just cursed and don't have one.
