Honestly the heartbreak of a goal line interception to end a Super Bowl is probably the worst, because the fans in the players have their hopes up until the very last second to have it dashed away by the evil empire.

Incredible video. One point of note: 10:39 it wasn’t ROOKIE Mark Sanchez. It was Sanchez’s second season in 2010. 2009 was the rookie year when he led the Jets to their first of back-to-back AFC Championship appearances.
For the 2010 season when the Jets beat the Patriots in the playoffs, Mark Sanchez was in his 2nd season, not his rookie season. Other than that, great video as always

I forgot about Chris Johnson. Man, watching him and AP along with a few other great RBs during that era was a real treat.
As a lifelong Atlanta Falcons fan, I'm not sure there is any NFL fan base that knows pain quite like we do, to have defeat snatched from the jaws of victory time and time again. In my mind 28-3 was more painful, just because that game was years in the making for our franchise and the past few seasons had all been building towards this one moment, only to have it all taken away from us over the course of those last 30 minutes.

Minor correction at around 17:25: Super Bowl 52 was not the highest scoring Super Bowl. That distinction belongs to Super Bowl 29 (52 had 74 points scored [Eagles 41 + Patriots 33], 29 had 75 points scored [49ers 49 + Chargers 26]). Super Bowl 52 was the most “offensive” one though, as the two teams combined for over 1150 yards of offense (which I believe is a record for all games). Great video though, very entertaining!

I think being number one just adds more pressure. You're expected to win against lower seeds even though they may have only a slightly worse record. Sometimes it's just a team solidifying at the right time, giants and packers are notable examples when they won. The bengals from the year before were impressive too even if they got beat by the rams, not sure if anyone expected them to be good with burrow coming off that knee injury and making the horrible mistake of drafting chase instead of that offensive lineman. that's why I don't give af what all those so called analysts say.
Eddie George's y/a is not a summary of how great he was. He belongs in the HOF.
Storytime. I was at a Milwaukee Bucks game on the night the Packers lost, I'm from Chicago and I had never seen so much Packers gear in my life. The Bucks had the scoreboard up but, on the way home I heard Robbie Gould's kick on the radio. It's one of my fondest memories

KTO IS BACK!
I was a 10 year old saint fan in 2018 and I cried 2 years in a row for at least a day We had the superbowl too
As a Patriots fan, I feel so unbelievably fortunate to have watched so many incredible Super Bowl teams in my lifetime. I'll never forget the excitement that came with the goal line interception against Seattle, ran around the house in circles yelling "interception" because just a moment before I was saying "are they really gonna lose another one after another improbable catch?!" So my disappointment turned to excitement in what seemed like a millisecond. And then the 28-3 comeback... Man, I've never sunk so low in my chair after that pick 6. Felt absolutely over. The comeback... Edelman's crazy catch, the toss to White in OT, Brady pulling out the stops only he can... So grateful to have watched it all!

Since 1960 only 18 teams with the very best record have won the Super Bowl! I would have to say having the best record doesn't guarantee you nor does it even give you a 50/50 chance!
10:05 The late Aaron Hernandez 😂
I wonder how far the next ones will go
Blowing a 28 point lead is no doubt worse. To collapse on that level when all it takes is a little here or there to seal it however, losing on "the last play" is way more heartbreaking.
HEY KTO 👋. keep up the great work man, you make your fanbase so happy, just wanted to let you know!
Can you make a video about the most successful rebuilds of All time?
As a Vikings fan thank GOD you started in 2000
As a Falcons fan, throwing an interception at the goal line to lose the game is much, much worse. Both of these are both heart wrenching, agonizing ways of having victory in your hands just for it to slip out of your hands, but the difference is that the Seahawks actually had a much more sizable chance to win in the final seconds of regulation, while the Falcons were basically screwed by the flip of a coin.
To answer the Falcons v Seahawks question, go watch Secret Base's 7 part series on the history of the Falcons. That'll give you great perspective on that 28-3 loss
28-3 still hurts me. The Seahawks got their ring. I don't know when we'll get ours.
I’m just a falcons fan and I have never gotten over 28-3 it changed the direction of our franchise but I can’t imagine what a that would’ve been like for a player

It would be cool to go over the NFC's 13-year reign over the NFL and comparing the rosters between the NFC and AFC champions. Even when the AFC had Brady, Manning, Big Ben, etc. they never won more than 4 in a row. That long of a streak will never happen again and it's rarely talked about.

I've been saying this for years now (I'm a Bill's fan). It doesn't matter what seat you get, or your record. It's all about getting hot during the playoffs. And usually it's about being dominant in one area, and being average to good in everything else. And typically one of those "good position groups" step it up in the Playoffs and that team wins the Superbowl.

The last second heartbreak of the goal line interception is the most painful. The loss of a 25 point lead in the super bowl is more infuriating imo as a neutral fan lol

In my opinion, blowing a 25 point lead like the Falcons is worse than a goal line interception. All you had to do is run the ball and drain the clock.
Goal line for sure, they had beast mode
Everyone talking about how tragic being a fan of their team is are forgetting about the Vikings, continuous heartbreaking moments since the 60s and have never gotten their happy ending
That 2013 season is so memorable. It is probably my favorite season/playoff of all time
Both losses are humiliating for sure, but only one has a title to it. Like “The Tortoise and the Hare”, all you have to say is “28-3” & people instantly know what you’re talking about.
Good stuff again. My own question to Falcons fans: would you have rather that they lost to Seattle or GB and never made that Super Bowl?
I’d be interested to see how the stats change if you look only at the back half of the season.
#34 on the pats threw Mason Crosby like he was a toddler lmao
Blowing a 23 point lead in the SB is worse then 1 dumb play on the goal line to cost the game. ATL could have just let the clock run down every play and ran the ball in the 2nd half and NE wouldn't of had enough possessions to make their comeback. Instead ATL decided to throw pick 6s and throw incompletions which took no time off the clock and gave NE enough possessions to get back in the game and win.
2:18 why are the Falcons and Panthers in the nfc west??
So the two seasons the titans were the number 1 seed, the ravens upset them, and the one season the ravens were the 1 seed, the titans upset them
The Wilson goal line interception was worse, because the play call was inexcusable.
The goal line interception is worse for sure for 3 reasons. 1. I am a Seahawks Fan. This was heartbreaking 2. The play before this totally got overshadowed (The crazy Kearse Catch) 3. Fan had hope we were winning, untill the last play.
I bet you could make a Matt Ryan video on all of his brutal defeats
"But what made this team great was their stingy defense". Got it lol

The goaline had much more damage as a Seahawks fan. We lost the LOB because of it. This also showed Pete Carolls intent to favor Russ over his defense which used to be the other way around. And we never made it halfway to the Super Bowl since. Not to mention the heart attack when I saw the play. This ruined our team because Russel Wilson was a system QB who sucks in the pocket which is why in Denver he can’t do anything. Mostly because of his height. He can’t roll out of the pocket anymore.

Pretty much all of those players walked in free agency. Yeah, the play call was atrocious, but saying they left the team solely because of the play isn't telling the whole story.
@Paul-vf2wl

This favoring Russ idea is a product of the childishness and greed of the LOB players it's not based in reality. Belichick just outsmarted the Seahawks coaches. That pass play was their go to goal line play they were something like 9-0 that year using it. When Belichick decided not to call a timeout with 28 seconds left he made the coaches rush their decision and they ran the play the Patriots had practiced stopping all week.
The Eagles have 1 job in 2022, and that’s to not screw up. They did vs Dallas and Washington in the Regular Season, so I’m having doubts come playoff time.
The goal line interception is more heartbreaking bc unlike an 48 the last seconds of the game was like Seahawks won just give it to lynch lol while when the falcons lost the coin toss is was yep the falcons choked the biggest sb lead
