Cream's greatest moment will always be when she was forced to kick Emerl's ass in the Sonic X Tournament. That was actually emotional, impressive, and badass. I do miss her and Vanilla in the recent Sonic games as well. Kind of like Bigs and Vector, they are there for support.

The Cream fans care

We can't even say she's weak in the comics. She fought against on of the Deadly Six on her own, who also happened to control Gemerl. Then she shows incredible strength and bravery when she was infected with the virus by choosing to stay behind afterwards.

"Putting a 6 year old in like a war scene probably doesn't make the most sense." Knowing what happened to Cream in the IDW comics, that caused me to laugh out loud. That comic series decided to introduce Cream into the series during a literal zombie apocalypse, where Cream witnessed both Cheese and her mother get infected in front of her, and she herself got infected towards the end of the storyline. Boy I love how dark that story got.

@@near5148 Charmy is also six and was in the war scenes, and Tails is only slightly older (eight) and was also in the war scenes. And Cream has been put in dark situations in spinoff media before (Season 3 of Sonic X comes to mind). It feels like the administration at the time just did not care for her. The last game where she had a prominent role was Rush, and the last mainline game she appeared in at all was Generations. Forces wasn't unique at all for excluding her, so saying this one factor in it led to that seems off. Especially when she was left off the roster for Team Sonic racing around the same time for no apparent reason, when there were way deeper cut characters playable in it (like Chao).

I miss eviscerating everything in my path as Cream...

If I recall in an interview, Chao were supposed to be item transporters in TSR, meaning that they were supposed help you give items your teammates, but then Sega requested that the developer(Sumo Digital) add Chao as playable characters. I suspect that Cream was planned, but after this request from Sega, I guess they couldn't think of another team for the Chao to be a part of, so they replaced Cream with them. Either that or they wanted a change of pace

The Chao could have been their own team & failing that could have been teamed with Silver & Blaze so that Vector could be part of Team Chaotix. 1 of the huge problems with Team Sonic Racing is that there aren't enough teams with only 5 existing. Sonic Riders had 1 more playable character back in 2006 strangely enough & that game didn't refuse to have 3 Sega All Stars as unlockable characters like TSR did. The game seemed like it was intentionally trying to be another disappointment by limiting itself so much.

Probably because cream is a God of destruction. In game she's probably the most powerful sonic character. Also maybe Sega doesn't want a young child in a war (forces) or in dangerous car racing games (sonic racing)

Charmy Bee is also 6, but is still in Forces, and in terms of racing, Creams been through much more dangerous things in the comics, and age was never a problem in Sonic, with Sonic being 15, Tails being 8, Amy Rose being 12, you get the idea.

In addition, age in Sonic is something that has little importance, it only serves to define the physical condition of a character, and is a poor excuse to explain or defend a decision.

When she returns, Gemerl should be right there with her.

Nintendo has made some excellent games the past 5 years from Super Mario Odyssey & Breath of the Wild to Luigi's Mansion 3 & that's not even counting HAL Labs. The problem with Sega is mostly just the Sonic Series with other Sega IPs that they actually use like Puyo Puyo & Yakuza doing well the past decade.

Cream was only ever playable in Sonic Advance 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Battle, Sonic Advance 3, The Party Game Mode of Secret Rings, Sonic Chronicles, & the 3 Sonic Riders games not counting Mobile Phone & Arcade Games or Crossovers & Fangames.

At this point, just remove Sonic from his games all together.

TSR needed more than 5 Teams, yet was intentionally holding itself back. I can assume you were referring to Team Sonic & Team Dark. Putting Cream in the games encourages Japanese Sales thanks to how insanely popular she is there, it's absurd how against her appearance Sega has been in recent years. Vanilla is probably destined to be Dimps Exclusive seeing how hard it is to get Sega to use Cream again. Maybe we'll get lucky & Sonic Prime will change all that?

@@WaterKirby1994 TSR was a low effort game, Sega wouldn't add new teams for that reason. And yes, I was specifically talking about Team Sonic and Team Dark because the rest make no any sense. Team Rose doesn't have to have a specific alignment if Amy wants to help a specific person but just like Vector made no sense for her team in Free Cancer Riders (I get why because of Big being banned from the series but still), the Chao make no sense as a replacement for Cream, they are just a bunch of Chao, their interests don't align with Amy, and Cream being young to drive excuse is BS, just look at the 8 year old two tailed fox. Vector should've had his teammates, I don't understand why was he paired with Silver and Blaze, two characters he never once interacted with, couldn't Sega just use Marine? They have an unused character right there from the Rush duology and could've expanded the roster a bit more now that they don't have to worry about Vector's absence. Team Eggman was fine and well placed, but why Zavok? What use does this Teletubbie have in this series? Didn't he try to kill Eggman before? Why he's in his team? I don't know if Cream will be able to return to this series, she won't be in Frontiers given the focus on the core 4 but at least in Prime? Maybe?

@@dragondelsur5156 Of course TSR was low effort, they put more effort into replacing Vic Mignogna after an incident happened than they did to planning out the story & teams in the game. They even flat out refused DLC despite being able to use it to promote the IDW Comics. Should have had the 4 Teams from Heroes, Team Blaze (Marine has it worse than Cream & Vanilla), Team Babylon, & more. If they really wanted Zavok in the game he should have gotten his own team. The Chao could have been their own Team or an excuse to bring back Chaos & Tikal. We could have gotten a team of Tangle, Whisper, & Jewel as DLC.

I’m sorry but I don’t get how that makes sense. Team Chaotix is only good when all three of them are together, Vector alone could not capture the comedy magic back in Heroes, and putting him with Sliver & Blaze is just wrong.

I miss seeing her in recent games and in recent Sonic media in general. I grew up with the anime and although the dub definitely hasn’t aged well, I think in the sub and the dub she definitely had a lot of character growth. I think her growth is the most present in the anime considering they haven’t given her too much opportunity in the games to grow. I’m excluding the comments only because more people have had exposure to the anime and games, but I could very well be wrong!

5:13 That's exactly the teams I would put together! If there was a Sonic Heroes remake or sequel, I would add Blaze(Speed), Silver(Fly), and Marine(Power) as Team Sol.

Actually that character select screen you showed there makes perfect sense to me. But since Robotnik has always been Power I'd switch him from his Control character to Power instead and have Infinite be control. And Marine makes perfect sense with Silver and Blaze. It gets confusing here though. I guess Marine would be Control and Silver with his telekinesis would Power I guess? And add an unlockable team. Team Chaotix. Obvious Espio is Speed, Charmy is Control, and Vector is Power. Team Sonic Racing I think is a fun game but the teams they did screw up on. But still Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed is a much better game. I want a new Transformed game honestly.

Literally the Cream from the comics could kick someones ass and defend a whole city. Game cream could do that but sega doesn't want her to. Instead they want to make her look like a scared little girl who tags along with a bunch of teens and adults. I mean look at how Tails and Amy turned out. Cream and Charmy weren't in TSR because "they're too young to drive" but any Sonic character is old enough to drive, just Shadow and Knuckles and eggman? And the robots? Just give them karts them, kids can drive karts.

As somebody who’s favorite Sonic character is Cream, I really hope they make her playable in the next game. I don’t even care if she isn’t broken like she usually is, I just want to play as my girl again.

I KNOW CREAM IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT CHARTERS TO ME

In Mario and Sonic olympics 2020 Cream does show up on podium to the way right but thats it. No playable character, no secret unlocking (unless I’m dumb), no nothing besides that appearance. I bet they haven’t forgotten about her, maybe saving her for something different or maybe they just didn’t feel like it.

The answer is actually very simple, SEGA have hidden and ignored her because feared her power. The programmer for Advanced 2 after finishing her gameplay was once quoted as saying “By God, what have I done?”

Remember that time when Ray and Mighty was the most underrated and trashed character in the Franchise? Even cosmo was 100 times more recognized. Sonic Mania gave them their well deserved comeback

"She's just a kid" I'm tired of hearing this lame excuse. The other kid characters are there all the time, and they're just saying that to deny Cream a role. So boring.

What even happen to cream? Sega: we don't talk about that in any conditions.

Ngl at first I never understood why charmy and espio weren't in Team Sonic Racing but I think the main reason is they had no idea who would be the last member of the team silver and blaze are part of, so they just picked vector and called it a day. The only reason the chose vector is because they needed a power type. I still have no idea why they opted for chao instead of cream, the age excuse only goes so far.

Sadly, I can’t even comment on the chao in space video because of f*cken Coppa

I wonder if Sega couldn't just create another female character to be in Team Rose. Big wasnt the best option for the team imo. If he was in a team, probably he can create one with Mighty and Ray who dont have one yet. Another team that I would change is the one with Blaze, since her, Silver, and Marine make much sense (I think Marine is from Blazes dimension, and it would be great for her to be reunited with Tails and Sonic for once). Team Chaotix and Babylon Rogues are fine (and they should be in TSR). Another team that I can think of that's forgotten is Bark the Polar Bear, Bean the Dynamite, and Fang/Nack the Weasel.

Cream actaully is in Mario And Sonic at the olympic games 2020 (shes in the trailer and she uses the gun to tell when they run in the first part)

She's like, 6, she doesn't need to be in everything.

That's true but Cream needed to be in it as a racer. I guess they could have added some chaos with her like Chocola and Cheese. Also, a return of the Chao Garden to the TSR game could have made it better, and it would have been a better acknowledgement. Probably they could be secret racers or something but not just take Creams spot.

How dare they replace my special little girl Cream with a bunch of Chao, especially Omochao! Nobody asked for them. Literally nobody.

The only recent mention of Cream in a Sonic Game that I remember is the Sonic Forces: Speed Battle mobile game. They added her as a character, but it was a very long time ago.

I understand why Cream couldn't be placed in a war scene, but then THERE IS CHARMY WHO IS ALSO SIX, blah, blah, blah - then again Charmy is an experienced hero so ya'know. SHE COULD HAVE REPLACED THE SCARED CHILD WIMP THAT TAILS WAS, it fits here so much more.

Are you assuming Cream should it been in that infamous scene and treated with no respect for the rest of Forces instead of Tails? That fucking scene is insulting for any established character, including Cream who already knows how to defend herself.

The reason why they picked Zavok for a character on the eggman team is because the people making Team Sonic Racing probably didn’t know about the story of the games and just picked Zavok because he’s a bad guy

I know that Team Holigan and Babylonians could make an amazing side story for the games. They could be like some new type of Team Dark (I mean kind of rivals to Team Sonic and Rose). I think Chaos, Mephiles, and even Dark Gaia were better villains, but I dont think they could be brought back easily on a new story. Still Infinite could come back.

Chesse and Chocala being captured in comic.She’s been through a lot.And she still has a smile on her face.She’s tough.Sega can’t throw that in the trash.

I'm guessing since team sonic racing accepts speed technique and power, you can already see that cream isn't much of a technical character.

I don't see Silver or the Chao being technical in anything. Besides, the types rely solely on the car they use, not the character itself.

I feel like team rose in sonic hero's is supposed to be a reference to Totoro and the two sisters from My Neighbor Totoro. Plus Big is a good dude, he's like their chill older brother that takes them fishing!

Cream is just the Princess Daisy of the Sonic franchise at this point but at least Daisy gets into all the spin-off games. *looks at Mario Strikers Battle League* oh wait never mind…..

Before Sonic Forces was even released, Sonic Forces: Speed Battle came out on mobile and quickly got Blaze and Cream (and Cheese), and not only them but the Team Babylons, other Deadly Six members, Movie Sonic and Baby Sonic and even Longclaw and as of recently, Excalibur Sonic. Something tells me a team can make better mobile games then the actual games.

Cream's still fairly common to find in the comics, especially the new IDW era. Unfortunate she's taken such a backseat in games tho
