Wow! Well done. I was a fan from the beginning but the last title i bought was Desolation Angels. May have liked some later stuff on the radio (seeing KSJO go by was a trip) but..I'd pretty much forgotten about the band until one morning in like '05, I'm walking to get a newspaper at a local strip mall and Trader Joes is blasting "Deal With The Preacher" from Straight Shooter. I'd forgotten what a great track this was ! Get home, find the album, fire up the bedroom stereo, an amp and guitar and worked it up,,,,ah, the good ol' days (apt life now ;( I still dl the track here from time to time. It's awesome !!

Very interesting video on this bunch that I had not realised had a very successful career after the first couple of singles. Yes Peter Grant certainly devoted all his efforts into Zep however despite that the B C boys made a name for themselves

Yes both bands are shamefully not in the hall of fame as well as Lizzy, Tull but (c)rappers are. Should change the name from Rock n Roll to anyone can get in as long as we crease the palms.

their first 2 albums just smoked. But the title song from "Holy Water" sounds exactly like AC/DC. As for Rodgers solo career the less said the better.

Boz was a dear friend. He did not during rehearsals. He died at his home in Marbella, Spain in 2006. Boz had not been in contact with any of the other original members for some time. Mick Ralph’s is in a home and from what I hear is not very well at all. There was always conflicts ion the band…Im played keyboards on “Run With The Pack.

He said he died during rehearsals can mean during that rehearsal time as opposed to recording or touring. Maybe? Glad you pointed out the facts to be clear. I love this band.

@@AbleBodied When he died, Boz had not been involved with Badco for quite some time. As I said, I played keys on Run With The Pack and new all of the guys very well. Rodgers was and as far as I know still is a very unpleasant person ( ask Queen drummer Roger Taylor) , Kirke also not exactly a Good Samaritan. Mick was a lovely bloke who i met when he first arrived in London and subsequently joined Mott. Boz and Rodgers never got on and I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did.

The narrator’s details about Boz’s death come across as an afterthought at best. Shameful. I understood he was in rehearsal with Tam White at the time, though his death was at home at an impromptu 60th birthday party. Tam and other musicians including Alvin Lee were there to celebrate with Boz. Agree with your comments on the band members…Boz and Mick both lovely funny gents. Paul and Simon…self involved is the kindest description I’d give. Given Boz and Paul’s personalities, conflict was inevitable, 8 years was a longer run than you’d expect.

@@littlebird2276 Although he was also living in southern Spain, Alvin was not there when Boz died. I was living in Mexico and got the call from Catherine Burrell, Boz’s (second) wife. I visited Alvin a few weeks later and also went to see Catherine. The real truth is that Boz had sort of given up on music and that Tam White and another Scottish guy were visiting when Boz had a heart attack and died.

Not true. It wasn’t named after the movie “Bad Company.” Paul Rodgers explains that he wrote the self titled song before they named the band, and he and Mick Ralfs spend time trying to think of names to come up with, and Paul Came up with the idea of naming the band “Band Company” after the song.
