Most of the community (like me) thinks they won’t release Ark II, that ASA is the actual Ark II. We joke a lot about it, and it’s kinda obvious, they want to release Ark II in the middle of them releasing Ark remastered maps? Yeah I don’t think so, adding that they want to add new maps to the canon, and there you have it, Ark II.

Appreciate the comment. And yeah facts, you can clearly see they are spending way too long on ASA and even delaying that I doubt they are even working on ARK 2 especially with how sophisticated and complex they said it would be.

Wildcard don't want another flop game like Atlas, and once they came out with "soulslike combat" and taking another direction in the gameplay than people know Ark to be, they started seeing fans complaining. This mixed with Wildcard having financial issues cause of = Ark Ascended (money cow/safe bet)

Ark 2 will be scrapped for new maps, micro transactions and DLC creature releases in ASA once they see the cash flow from it.

Yeah that's the route Wildcard are clearly taking. It seems as though every new Map in ASA is another micro transaction.

Snail is broke and unreal 5 is more difficult to make games on than was stated it would be. Ascended was designed to get them the money to make ark 2. Honestly it’s frustrating with release dates it’s like inviting people over for a party and offering to order a pizza and just waiting a week to order it. Whoever chooses the release dates is either constantly overdosing or heroin or has no concept of the Gregorian calendar.

Yeah. Ascended was clearly created to make them money and especially with the new DLC dinos it just shows. But for some reason I got this feeling that they are going to delay ark 2 by another year 😭
