What Happened to Agbogbloshie?
Where are the most toxic places on Earth? Well this was said to be one of them. But things are not always what they seem to be. Things change too. It was a couple of years ago while I was shooting a story for German television that I first heard of a spot that is at “the top” of the “top ten list” of the worlds most toxic places. A place I got to see for myself… It was called HELL ON EARTH by the media, and known as Agbogbloshie by those who lived there. Whatever you wanted to call it, it was said to be THE most toxic e-waste dump on the planet… But what happened to this place?

Thank you. It always irks me with the idea that no one bothers to recheck stuff before writing articles about a place that they’ve never been.

Thank you for the compliment on that. It was a difficult place to get to pretty amazing once I got there. But then you realize there are places like this all over the world. Now there is one less.

Typical... a guy from the USA that denies that the USA has anything to do with the products in the Ewaste hell. And even denying it is hell... Well, I'd say: swap your life to one at standing in the copper burn pit.
