Sometimes I imagine living in worlds like in this picture. The atmosphere, the guys you hang around, this music playin', maybe the desperate feelings, time passing, waiting for something to hope for... but at least knowing, that you're not alone. Imagining this would make me feel more alive because the feelings that such spaces and music create make me feel more connected to something deep inside of me that I can't feel or maybe only very rarely in the normal world. It affects me the same like Silent Hill music does. Sounds crazy, but at the same time, sooo true for me.

Since I was born I’ve been very sensitive to sounds and ambiance. Walking around the RPD in RE2 and listening to the sounds. Chills always go down my spine and it teleports me into this other world. It’s peaceful yet terrifying at the same time.

I meant when being teleported to the past (through sound & smells). But being teleported to unknown places has happened to me with 2 tracks: "it will rain for a milliion years (porcupine tree) and "nothings real" (boards of canada). Yeah! Very strange feeling! Some kind of familiarity in uncharted places. Pure awe!

I want them to remake this so bad. Keep the voice acting, plot, layout. EVERYTHING. Just remake it with todays graphics and be third person camera behind character view and thats it, be fucking dope.

I wish Capcom would do a remake for these Dino Crisis games. Loved them back in the day on PS1.

Might not be a good idea at the moment to ask Capcom for any remake tbh. Most likely Dino Crisis will get the Western Developer treatment. Some things are best left untouched.

I'll be an outlier we do need a remake. All dinosaur games now are pretty much action oriented. Back to survival horror aspect of running out of bullets when a raptor is coming at you full speed is terrifying

Dino Crisis 2 had some of the best music especially the save room soundtrack.

Don't blaspheme this masterpiece of a game by describing it as "old ass." It deserves respect! As someone with 15-20 years experience on it, this music is interesting and atmospheric but doesn't remind me of the game's music at all. Check out the OST. It's cool.

@@haydencantthink thanks for asking. It's about a specialized rescue team having to survive a secluded island research facility populated by dinosaurs. That's the short of it. These dinosaurs were time warped from their time into the modern age in a kind of temporal displacement. It would be like questioning where you are right now. What kind of prehistoric animals walked the very space you're reading this response in? Now imagine these animals who shared your space in another time period being brought in front of you right now. So this happened at the research facility. The team was sent to the facility to locate Dr. Kirk who was found out to have faked his death. He's important because he's the inventor of a new powerful source of energy called Third Energy, which is hypothetically infinite and clean, created by pulling particles from the air. This is naturally a big deal so that's why the specialized team was sent in to find the lead researcher on the new technology. The Third Energy was responsible for the time warp in the first place. Now, to survive the island, you must solve puzzles and conserve ammo and supplies to the best of your ability. Or else...

Regina, the female protagonist is part of a military group sent to capture Dr. Kirk and secure his research. The game takes place in an Island in South America.

FL Studio, Korg and Arturia VSTs, a collection oldschool hardware synthesizers, and many sample libraries from the 90s and early 2000s which were heavily used for video game composition and other forms of media at that time.

@@vaporalight3670 Just experiment with different techniques to create pads and textures (hardware and software), don't be afraid of overusing many effects and listen to many music by other artists. For me Akira Yamaoka, the composer of all Silent Hill OSTs is my biggest inspiration and influence when it comes to producing ambient music.
