This is the third tier 0 format in the past couple years. Its crazy why people would even play the game right now. Plus the banlist is exclusively to push new product. Its blatent at this point and kills any deck that Konami doesnt want to push.

cuz it's fun, and not everyone plays yugioh at a ycs regional level, locals are still filled with diversity in deck selection

@vespertinebjorkfan500 I beg to differ. I work at an LGS, and a single Snake Eyes player kills the entire scene. Most people have jumped ship to Pokemon/One Piece/Lorcana. Noone likes tier 0 formats and the only people that tend to be indifferent are the players who don't play with a banlist or for money, which is a small minority in current yugioh.

​@@apertureb2247i'm not in support of tier 0 formats, and every scene is going to be slightly different. if your shop plays mainsly snake eyes, that's just how it is. but most ppl who play yugioh can't afford to go across the country to large scale events, nor do they have the money to afford a $1,000 deck. i was just saying why people still play yugioh. my locals is filled with tier 1-2 decks and while there are still plenty snake eyes players, even they bring other decks to experiment with

Duel Links and Master Duel is the only reason I still play other than when I was a kid. The digital world opens up a market for people who don't have the access, time or money to play Yu-Gi-Oh. "Duel Disk will be real one day"

We need a tournament eclusive promos that way the ppl that attend these tournaments get exclusive reprints

An ots pack for major tournaments is what I'm getting at I hate getting the newest set cause you either don't get back anything but supers and ultras that most ppl have by now and the only ppl who want to pick stuff up are vendors and backpack vendors

I've seen a good number of videos about Yugioh TCG fans mention about Konami being trash when it comes to prizes for tournaments. As unfortunate as it is, it's a sad reality that's part of Japanese culture and business practice of having the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality. It's a bit surprising to me how the prizes are that bad since Yugioh is one of the best Konami TCGs besides Pokemon (idk about the other TCGs like Magic the Gathering and etc). I don't see Konami changing how they go about anything since I think it's best if local, regional, and national TCG tournaments put up the cash for a tournament winning (something which I highly doubt most would want to unless they're fine with it).

Splashable engines, generic boss monsters, negates, bad choices for master rules. So many things are wrong with modern YGO. I love this game as a player of only 2 years but all these issues seem to have ALWAYS been a thing and usually get brought up every single time there's a tier 0 meta. It's half the reason I don't play IRL. I have all the decks I love but I have no interest in getting stomped by the best deck. Master Duel I can leave and get a new duel instantly. IRL can you scoop and do the same? Because I sure won't sit around watching Snake Eyes destroy my Melffy board like its nothing I will leave.

I mean, terrible prize support because Kazuki Takahashi still intended it even after his death (which I will say something very controversial that might piss off the Japanese but IDGAF anymore), splash-able engines as well as generic omni-negate shit that exists, Konami's lack of transparency to the player-base (what else is new), & all the stupid things Konami has done or will do is what's killing this game right now. As for Konami having shit prizing support: they're notoriously cheap & they shouldn't give a damn about what Takahashi's wishes are: the guy is dead. As much as we can all honor him in our way, his wishes for not putting in $ as prizes is completely irrelevant to the state of this game right now. If Konami for once can grow a pair & not be braindead with their outdated logic, perhaps they can finally make prizing for this game much better. Instead, as Papa pointed out: the players pay for everything including a plane ticket locally of which would have costed at around $300+, $100+ for food, & another $200+ for a hotel room; so Konami is many things at fault here. It's no wonder why everyone's leaving the game for other card games or enjoying older formats & I don't blame them for doing that.

The games just boring now. I’ve been playing for 3 years straight at this point. During that stretch I was always excited to go to locals never once did I not want to go. After Legacy of Destruction…..idk it’s just stale, boring game play now. No motivation to play the game anymore cause I always know what I’m gonna play against

I’ve joined the lorcana side of tcg lately so far so good. Lots of fun deck that are pretty good in lorcana.

As long as they don't touch the site which shall remain anonymous, they can release an unlimited card that says "If this card exists: You win the duel" for all i care.

The games just boring now. I’ve been playing for 3 years straight at this point. During that stretch I was always excited to go to locals never once did I not want to go.
