God expects of you what he has asked: no more, and no less.
Christians (and all people) often fall into self hatred or self loathing when they start to expect more of themselves than what God has asked them to give. More than what is bearable or realistic.
God chose to give Jesus on the cross as a sacrifice - a ransom - to buy us back to himself.
He didn’t do this so he could place on us unrealistic burdens, or heavy weights that we couldn’t possibly bear. His yoke is easy, and his burden is light.
Let’s lean in together to doing what God has asked of us this season, and not fall into the trap of comparison or grinding.
Let’s be who God has called us to be: His.
