@@garanceey That's personal preference. Feel more comfortable with French than Danish people. Lack of spontaneous expression and that formal politeness puts me off. Generally, mediterranean nationalities entertain me more.

Dialect?. It's standard italian with an inflection of milanese, except at 1.30 (inflection of South Italy).

When my family visited an engineer's home near Bologna in 1998, he didn't speak a sentence of English but he placed all the liquors on the table, showed us all photo albums of his family, then he was busy at kitchen preparing food with wife. Just down to earth, warm and great hospitality towards foreigners. I found out late he was an alpino, an avid mountain climber, great respect. From Hong Kong. Love ANA and story of Alpini mountain troops.😍

Sono argentino di terza generazione, ma d'origine italiano. Ho viaggiato per tutta l'Europa e per buona parte di America del Sud e gli Stati Uniti. L'unico posto dove non mi sento straniero e L'Italia. Li sono come di casa. E vostri cibi sono anche nostri cibi. Il piato piu popolare in Argentina sono le cotelette alla Milanese (noi diciamo "Milanesas").

sentire un italiano parlare è come ascoltare un argentino parlare. Non avevo idea che argentini e italiani fossero così simili, vedere la madre di Matteo è come vedere la mia.

Interessante sentire, quanto poco viene nominato l´arte - primo punto di riferimento dalla cultura italiana in tutto il mondo.

Il motivo è che noi italiani viviamo in mezzo all'arte da quando nasciamo. Sembra assurdo, ma l'arte è così presente che noi la diamo per scontata nella nostra idea di mondo, mentre il mondo reale ci conosce proprio perché non è una cosa scontata. Per gli essere umani è normale non rendersi conto delle proprie fortune. Però questa mentalità ci porta anche a interessarci molto all'arte non italiana, per cui pensiamo che ogni cultura abbia la sua dignità ed è difficile pensare di essere i migliori. Pensa a quanta arte c'è in Europa. Pensa alla Grecia, che è parte delle nostre radici. E poi l'arte italiana è varia, e gli italiani la considerano distinta per categorie (…rinascimentale, monumentale, artigianato, arte urbana, arte moderna, tipi vari di architettura, eccetera…), senza includere le arti musicali e performative, il design, la moda (che nel video nessuno ha menzionato!!!), la letteratura, ed altre cose. E poi, purtroppo, vengono sempre in mente stereotipi negativi, perché gli italiani sono mooooolto critici.

The Italian identity is made of strong different identities, living together. Milan started being since centuries. Big cities evolve, cultures keep on flowing in there. By the way, the older woman (guy's mother) doesn't live in Milan. North vs South is a simple way to represent frictions, but frictions do exist for sure, and it's unavoidable.

personally, as italian, I don't give a shit about what foreigners think of us. Try to find such smiling, pleasent and friendly people in Uk, France or Germany in a similar interview if you can! "Roma caput Mundi" , translate this, since everything about the western civilization started with Rome, first. Only pizza, pasta and cappuccino are so popular in EVERY single country of the world. We have beautiful sea and beaches on three sides of our country. No need to mention about clothing, fashion and good general taste or creativity: compared with italians anyone else look like a savage.. Wanna talk about cultural level? try to check about general education in USA! :))) Wanna talk abou Art, Operas, high level classic music?....

The need is always really personal. This video won't help finding good reasons to start learning.

From my opinion we see Italians of being over dramatic (always falling I see at football and seeming weak). Also the Second World War they let their mates down. Not really much more to them.

People in general have good opinion about italians and their stereotype , but if you pay attention you see there are physically not beautifull , and a lot of them are very racist . I m very desapointed about italians
