Israeli singer Eden Golan advanced to the Eurovision Song Contest final through public votes despite protests supporting Gaza in Malmö, Sweden, where the contest is held.
Golan faced mixed reactions during rehearsals and the semi-final, with cheers and boos.
Ireland's Bambie Thug, a non-binary contestant, urged the European Broadcasting Union to show 'empathy and conscience,' over Israel's advancement in Gaza and Rafah.
Bambie and other contestants including the UK's Olly Alexander, Finland's Windows95Man and Switzerland's Nemo - have called for a ceasefire in Gaza and the "safe return" of Israeli hostages in a joint statement.
Bambie also said the EBU prevented them from displaying a pro-Palestinian message during their performance during the first semi-final.

The Swedish moderator quickly came to her rescue and told her that she didn’t have to answer that, then Joost Klein blurted out ”why not??!!” in a provocative tone, putting Eden in an awkward situation.

He had an altication with a female from the production team. He allegedly tryed to assault a photographer. He showed disrespect in press interviev when sitting next to isreali. Putting flag over his head like a spoilt child. He also interviened when the isreali entrant was asked a question. He made a comment. Also Russia invaded Ukraine due to NATO expansion, Ukraine branning the use of the russian language, Ukraine not allowing the natine Russian's to keep there culture and the fact over a thousand of the russian speaking Ukrainians were killed in Crimea.
