I mean Cu was like the last servant to die in the fifth Holy Grill War as Rider got Excalibured, Berserker got either stab with calibur or get killed by Gillgimesh with his arsenal of different A rank NPs, Caster die at the hands of Archer or Gill, Archer gets killed by either battling Berserker or get ambushed by Gillgimesh, Assassin gets killed by Saber, and finally Lancer is the last to die.

Cu was tired of dying in all the routes of stay night so he became an unkillable tank here

from what I remember his berserker version is so fierce not even the mad king: cu alter, would like to face him, so yeah the dude is probably more uncontrollable and wild than what we have seen of our current blue haired boi, though that begs the question how strong berserker cu is

Just grailed him to 110 week ago. No regrets.

I like how in all fate routes , it takes a a few times to actually kill cu chulainn in fate he suffered a major injury that would have killed of any normal servant and he fought Gilgamesh for 9 hours btw , in UBW he got his heart stabbed with his own spear , got cursed so even more painful still had the time to kill Kirei and in Fate Zero he only got killed after getting his heart destroyed twice

Every time cu died he never went down easy. Cu would’ve killed Cursed arm in heavens feel if it wasn’t for the shadow, in the date route he lasted for about 9 hours against Gilgamesh which is certainly a lot more than most servants can say and even when forced to kill himself he managed to kill Kirei with him

Wrong norse goddess for that, atleast according to most versions of the mythology out there Skadi's Husband in mythology was Njord/Njordr, who is a god of seafaring and...i think wealth? for the record, Odin's wife is supposed to be Frigg Of course this assumes Nasu didn't fuck everything up like the mushroom man does every so often

@@gypsysprite4824 Fun fact: Skadi is one of the few goddesses that is actually divorced. As hers and Njords lifestyles were too different. She was a goddess of the hunt, skiing, and the mountains. He was a god of the shore, fishing, and sailing. So, whilst she did live with him for a while, she missed her mountains too much

Something hilarious, Cu actually defeated Scatatchs' evil twin sister as an 10-12 year old via a "look behind you!" trick. Essentially she shouted that her precious chariot was running over a cliff, and when she turned to look he whapped her in the back of the head. He then took as his prize to impregnate her, and have her end her Feud with Scatatch. Alas, 8 years later Cu had to kill his own son as Cu was the only hero in all of Ireland strong enough to stop the kid. And Cu had to use Gae bolg.

Curiously, the dialogue between meb and Cu has always seemed curious to me, good at least for me, because to what extent she should have more dialogues with Fergus than with him. I say considering that they were lovers of her, since fergus was the only one who could satisfy Med and Med the only one who could satisfy Fergus, so I did not understand why they paired her with Cu 🤔

It’s because in the myths, Medb actually knows Cú prior to the war and considered him a great warrior. She actually judged a contest for him and two other warriors and decided he was best one no matter how many times they wanted to do do-overs. She gave him a gold medal and the others medals made of brass and stuff. He’s also the only person who was consistently kind to her without wanting anything in return. He spared her life, never fought her, and even paid her favors/listened to whatever deal she came up with. However, in the same breath, she did not like that he treated her delicately because she was a woman and would’ve rather him actually fought her like she was a warrior. Kinda similar to Achilles and Penth. It’s essentially a blend of focusing on the only person who respected you but also hating because they won’t take you seriously. So she has mixed feelings and would focus more on him than Fergus, who was already in an established relationship with her (tho he canonically loves his wife more than Medb, which she is fine with)

@@Raionmimi Hmm if I remember correctly Fergus's dream was to have a threesome with Med and his wife, but I don't remember if this was from mythology or from fgo. But even so the legend of Fergus is more related to Med than that of Cu. Even Fergus dies while he and Meb were swimming naked in a lake. (that's why I say they should have more dialogues together) I also don't remember if that that Meb knew Cu before from the war in which he defeated her, is from her mythology or was from fgo ... Because as far as I can remember, although she had heard of Cu, she hadn't yet I knew him in person. There are times when I get confused, that happens to me because I play a lot. Another thing is that in that war Meb must have won, in fact Cu must have died, it was Fergus who, like him, still loved his old country who decided to warn Cu while he distracted the army from him and meb. As Cu couldn't gather enough soldiers, he challenged the entire army one by one, the problem is that since Fergus and Meb were lovers, Meb's husband robs caladbolg while Fergus and Meb had one of their encounters so when it was their turn He had to use a normal sword and then he loses and Cu makes a deal with him where he had to retreat if they fly to meet he would retreat. The bad thing is that later Meb managed to corner Cu and she was confident since she had her army together with Fergus (he had already recovered Caladbolg by this time) and his men ...... But as Fergus saw Cu he retires honoring him deal and Meb loses, Cu forgives her life, she is outraged (for the same thing you say) and later she finds out about Cu's agreement with Fergus and gets more angry with Cu. Although Fergus and Meb's relationship was nothing more than to satisfy their lusts and it wasn't romantic at all. His interactions with Fergus were more than those she had with Cu (which were not romantic either)

@@Tonyz7K6 The dream for a threesome is from FGO. In canon, his wife was kind of jealous of his lovers, which is why in Fate, he wants her to get along with Medb. Medb has never been shown to have an opinion on his wife in Fate or the Tain. The nature of Medb and Fergus’s relationship was born out of convenience because Medb only took on lovers for political reasons, and he WAS the ex-king of Ulster. Both of them happened to really hate Conchobar, Cu’s uncle, and Fergus is the one who coaxed her into sparking the war in the first place by telling her that she should actually invade Ulster. I do agree that I would love for more lore and voicelines between them, but based on events and her interlude, Medb doesn’t seem to think much of his physical affection. He cares a great deal about her in FGO more than lewd shenanigans though. Cú knowing Medb prior to the war is from mythology but hinted a bit across the Fate series. He sometimes mentions knowing her outside of FGO by namedropping her in other series. This is how we know that he feels bad for her because she’s gone through a lot. (She is also referenced in Prototype because his master specially summons him because she wanted her servant to be a man killed by a woman, so he knows how scary women can be.) In his bond five voiceline in FGO, he also includes Medb in the group of women he’s promised something to but failed to keep his promise. We are never told what his promise to Medb actually was, but it’s implied it most likely had something to do with knowing her prior. He says he wants to be better for those women though, which is why he’s pretty lenient and soft on Medb when she’s not trying to intentionally bother him. The thing is, Medb was married to his uncle when she was younger, and Cú grew up in Ulster, so chances are they may have met at some point in the castle itself, when he was still Setanta before he left when he was 10 when Conchobar forced him to leave to get married because Ulster men were afraid Setanta would cuck them all and steal their daughters. In FGO LB6, Caster Cú is shown being kind of soft on Knocknarea and tells her that he knows her but doesn’t answer her questions directly on how. She is a Medb who’s not gone through the trauma that he knows PHH Medb has, so he’s happy for her. Medb did technically win the war though, even with her heavy losses. All she wanted was the ox, and it was Cú who stopped her army from retrieving it and dragged out the war over several years. She got the bull in the end and only wanted it for a year to begin with, but it ended up dying anyways after it fought with her husband’s bull. This actually doesn’t matter to her because she just wanted to be on equal terms with Ailill in the first place, and both oxen dying ironically made them equals again. The main problem with Cú is that he blatantly ignored everyone who warned him. Fergus was not the only who did. There were many obvious omens that he would die if he chose to continue. Celtic mythology prophecies are not set in stone, it’s usually that heroes and characters just brush everything off because they’re cocky, and then they die. Cú knew that he was destined to die young, but he also actively chose to die during Medb’s war. He could have actually lived if he just didn’t go, but he really wanted to be a famous hero, which was his downfall. The thing with Medb is that he actively saw her quite a few times. He spared her life a lot and even told her, “Ma’am I really don’t wanna hurt you,” even to the point that it really pissed Conchobar off that he didn’t kill Medb. He even watched her army for her while she was on her period in the middle of a forest when he happened to find her there. They just have a really unusually rivalry in that Cú doesn’t want to fight her, but she does because he is in her way. Not necessarily because she hates him personally, but he is an active obstacle that needed her direct attention because he slaughtered her army the most. It’s like not lovey dovey romance. It’s Medb wanting to be equal to Cú, and she has no idea what love is, but that’s kind of the closest she gets to love in FGO. She just doesn’t see him as a good looking brave because those are the men she sees as people she can politically power with. Whereas Cú is a free spirit and she doesn’t know how to deal with loving someone just to love them. She needs there to be a transaction, where she can give and take like she did with Fergus. That’s why her and Fergus work well together, it’s actually not even so much about the sex as it is what he can do for her compared to other people. She’s not actually that interested in sex, but rather likes controlling powerful people because it helps keep her above and she won’t get hurt by them. However, Fergus in FGO is very understanding of her, so he is like a platonic soulmate to her who gets her. Cú is like someone she respects and grows towards because the more they interact in canon, the more relaxed she is around him and he is canonically the only person she lets disagree with her and listen to, even if she doesn’t like it. She values his opinion I think that’s probably why FGO Medb is interested in Cú on a hate and love level in comparison to Fergus (who she rarely interacts with on a lovey dovey level in FGO except like once in an event when she asked if he was interested in another woman in front of her and loves his honesty towards her.) It’s out of respect towards Cú yet wanting him to view her as an equal as far as warrior. It’s a very interesting and yet odd dynamic, but most people just view it as “Oh boy crazy girl chases guy” when there’s a bit more to the layers there. I just think they’re neat Totally would still love more voicelines tho, I love any and all Ulster Cycle Medb content.
