There's really nothing wrong with playing with action figures. but for some of us who collects the imports from the japanese companies, most of them are high-end valuable and WAY too expensive to play with and risk broke them lol. so we only display most of them on the shelves/glass cabinet

If you play with them I 100% back anybody on that. Over the years I’ve had comments of people asking if they can play with them and I always say yes, but if it’s an expensive figure to just be careful or Mafex cause something might break lol

I collect I'm a bit flipped. My parents think I only play with my figures when It's with my little brothers, and they're on display most of the time (by the way in a teenager 😅) But sometimes when I'm just chilling in my room I'll totally do that Moon Knight vs Thing battle but with either Batman and Killer Croc, or Hulk and Captain America 😂

Nice dude!! Nothing wrong with playing with action figures at all. I did when I was around 18-19 and was super embarrassed about it back then. But if something makes you happy then go for it 👊😁

Also in a way I guess I kinda play with my figures in the sense of I'm trying to learn stop motion but haven't gone to school for it or anything so what I do is take pics and make like comic strip with them of current comics or of my own ideas from time to time.

Facts!

I like to christen my figures with a bit of play before I dedicate them to the shelf

What I hate is that my parents think the second I put my figures on the shelf I don't like them anymore but it's like I love them all it's just that I like seeing them posed instead of like playing with it

Essentially just ornaments. I collect some lovely ornaments for my shelves, just because yours are anime or character based doesn't make it any different, you like something that you want on display to look at and appreciate, everyone does it, young and old 🤷🏻‍♀️ I always like going into menkind and seeing their anime character and light cabinets. Very expensive items but you can really appreciate the detail

Why not both! I dabble in both! And I’m 24 😂. Still getting comfortable with being open about it but it’s just one of those things that I always have and always will love, that’s what makes it collecting! Only you can love your collection like you do!

I collect wrestling figures and I play with them. If it’s not a rare one than I will play with them.

My way to enjoy my figures is posing them, taking pictures and post them in twitter or instagram. Also making my own custom figures, i just finished Raven Beack from Metroid and now i'm crafting Ichigo in Vasto Lorde form from Bleach.
