No matter how talented you are at something, discipline and hardwork is still crucial for success. I remember back when people talked about the generations '87, they would go Ben Arfa, Nasri, Diaby, Benzema then Menez as the most talented. Nowadays I think everyone will start with Benzema. He lasted 10 years at Madrid, fought for his spot numerous times vs Higuain, Adebayor, Jovic, Morata, Chicharito and many others. Meanwhile Ben Arfa the most talented has never been in the same team for 4 years due to his bad attitude in dressing room, couldn't stay fit, overall relying too much on his talent with very little effort in training.

@Abdulaziz Mohammed I totally agree. But was it really a comeback? Benzema has always been that player. Although when the team needs goals he becomes the goalscorer and when it needs a team 9. He will turn into that false 9. Back when they had Ronaldo, Benz left the goals for him and played a more supplying role. And when he left he switched to a more typical number 9.

When Wenger and Nasri parted ways his career went off track especially with France. You left Arsenal fine but the final nail in the coffen was when we did stuff that made Wengee his main supporter lost faith in him. After winning 2 EPL he was finish before Pep had even arrived at City still his career was hanging by a threat at City until City sold him. I believe he let his anger got the better of him and not taking Wenger words of encouragement seriously. Pepe for Portugal was able to control his for brief period especially with Ronaldo around but Nasri simply could not. I do not know much about his childhood but I believe he might have had parental issues. Maybe his parents were abusive or they fought a lot in front of him that help the reck his mind.

@@fishyfish6510 I'll tell you the truth... Ben Arfa was every bit as frustrating with his decision making as Saint-Maximim but if you watch the highlights, it will only show you the magic. Today I view Ben Arfa through rose tinted glasses because on his day, he had a better end product than Saint-Maximim and was every bit the crowd pleaser. Where I do feel that Saint-Maximim is better is the sheer amount of times he beats a player on his runs, Ben Arfa knew when to release the ball. Saint-Maximim is quicker than Ben Arfa was. For some reason, our favourite mercurial talents are always french. Ginola, Robert, Ben Arfa, Saint-Maximim. Pity about Thauvin though

nothing happened to Oscar, he was talented and was performing quite well until he chose to follow money instead of progressing forward in his football career when he moved to the Chinese league. Disappointing really.
