You said, "The elephants may not call it love..." but virtually all creatures seem to feel that special bond with other creatures whether they call it love or not. When you give love to any animal they usually reciprocate. I'm fortunate to have life long memories of wild & domestic animals that I helped raise or rehab with my family. Those animals responded whether they called it love or not.

Baby K tried so hard to nurse, you know she was missing her mother, her mothers smell, her trunk caresses and hugs. The human race could learn much from those magnificent creatures. Thank you for all you do. 💕🐘🙏🏻

They taught me "One for all, all for one" is not only found in literature or the motto of Switzerland but is a real "thing" that lives within the herd. Khanyisa is a beautiful representation of love and thriving despite all odds. 🏅🐘🥇

Kumbura has been so brave with Timisa and Khanyisa and with the losses she's seen since Amanzi.

The elephants taught me I had a big enough heart to let in a whole herd and their carers. As I’ve said before, an empty space I didn’t even know was there! I feel so lucky! Khanyisa helped heal Bubi’s and Lundi’s relationship as they came together to love and protect this girl child. Each elephant welcomed and accepted Khanyisa into the herd as I watched in fascination. They know what it’s like to be hurt and alone and took her in with open trunks. That’s love. ❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦

Well done!!! We have been able to see up close Khanyisa's beautiful, automatic acceptance into the herd. As a terribly injured infant, snared and left alone to die, she desperately needed her mother...and got a whole "herd of mama's", elephant and human. Thanks to all who worked tirelessly to save her and allowed us to watch her thrive and grow into a self-confident, seriously adored youngster. THAT is LOVE.

I love elephants immensely! They are so family oriented and so loving. This heard of elephants whose lives have been very cruelly robbed of their loved ones in their lives, found a loving family again bonding together. Thankfully Adine and the carers made this possible becuase of their love and dedication to elephants. Every time I watch your videos, they reinforce these beautiful factors that make such a beautiful story, a true story!

Khanyisa teaches me to look for the joy in life every day. She doesn’t let past trauma hold her back from anything and she opens her heart to every one. That is a great lesson.

I'd like to add: Someone put a lot of love into making the patchwork square quilt for Khanyisa to wear to keep her warm.

I will remember “the eyes never forget what the heart has seen”. Antoine de St. Exupéry said it too - one can only see well with the heart, what is essential is invisible to the eyes”. I have learned so much about elephants watching your videos. Thank you for showing us that elephants are so complex - protective, caring, attentive, etc.

Elephants are proof that love is something you can learn from an entirely different species…and that is simply incredible

"What the world needs now is love sweet love" just like the song, Meisiekind and the HERD have provided a lot of love to my home all the way from South Africa. Watching Khanyisa get the love and care from day one, from Adine/Carers and the HERD taught me how to be more patient, a virtue I work on constantly. I have come to really love the entire family, with sweet and beautiful Timisa being my little special darling. Why the other day I noticed that her exquisitely sculptured trunk looks like some type of hieroglyphics up close. All animals teach us about love. We had a stream at the back of our house and my brother would come home that way from school, walking along a log that had fallen. One day he saw two beavers one had died and the other was dragging the body of it's mate away. My brother came into the house crying.

The elephants have taught me that being non judgemental is the core of uncompromising love.
