I run a S.U. deck... i stocked it with cheapest unblockables, and i put almost every clone i could find. My biggest goal, is to have the 12 mana, 3 unblockables and collossus, clone, and sakashima all in my hand... oh look a blightsteel... oh look another blightstee... oh look another blight... *scoop*

Like the video. If you add the training grounds to the deck it works wonders. It cheapens activated abilities by 2. So Satarus antic's would only cost 2 mana

You don't even need Thassa's or Palinchron or Great Whale to win with Peregrine drake. You only need Peregrine drake + thousand faced shadow ninja to infinitely create peregrine drake tokens tapped and attacking to all players.

Explain this one to me please because Im definitely missing something. If PD (peregrine drake) is attacking and you bring out TFS (thousand faced shadow) and make a copy of PD. You can untap 5 lands wouldn't you need a creature that can ninjutsu for 1 mana to pull back TFS and use the remaining 4 mana to bring it back out again to make this a repeatable combo? I'm fairly new so if there is a easy thing I'm missing pardon me!

@@aaronhays9931 okay here's the steps: 1. Have at least six dimir mana from lands available. Peregrine Drake and thousand faced shadow in hand. Satoru Umezawa on the battlefield. two unblockable creatures on the field ready to attack. 2. Attack with two unblockable creatures - no blocks - tap five lands, ninjitsu PG in for 4, 1 mana is now floating. Untap five lands. 3. Tap five lands, Ninjitsu TFS in from the other unblockable attacker, make a copy of PG tapped and attacking any player you want. Untap five lands, now have two mana floating. 4. Tap two lands and use the two floating to ninjitsu back in one of the original unblockable attackers (or any ninja or creature in your hand), returning TFS to hand (but both PG's - the original and the copy - remain on the battlefield). 5. Use the remaining four lands to Ninjitsu in TFS and return the original PG to hand - when TFS enters the battlefield, target the copy of PG to make another copy of PG tapped and attacking any player you want. Untap five lands. 6. Tap five lands and ninjitsu back in the original PG, returning TFS back to hand. Untap five lands. 7. Tap five lands and ninjitsu back in TFS, making another copy of of the copy of PG tapped and attacking any player you want, return the original PG to hand. 8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 infinite times for infinite mana and infinite PGs tapped and attacking every player.

This doesn’t work - you already declared attackers so you cannot have additional creatures entering and then declare attackers again. You typically only declare attack on one player.

Just remember though that Satoru wont trigger his first ability unless he's on the field. he can't ninjutsu himself since bouncing a creature is part of the cost and an ability doesn't activate until costs are paid. If he's bounced to your hand, he doesn't see that ninjutsu ability activate and you wont get the "look at the top 3" trigger.

Yeah ninjutsu is a crazy ability also as long as you ninjutsu a creature in and you return a creature , the creature that you put out doesn’t come out until ninjutsu resolves .

I ninjutsu in peregrin drake by tapping 2 generic mana lands, a double (dimer aqueduct) and triple (lotus field) so it generates 7 mana, as long as you have another land available you can Infinite ninjutsu in drake and a creature that damages etc on entry to win 🏆 most budget combo I've found

This commander seems so fun but probably will attract a lot of hate 😂 I received the MTG on Command deck box from the 1000 sub giveaway and it's amazing! I love it :)

just don't put blightsteel and stuff in there and tell the table then you should be ok. I have a deck with Satoru but for flavor it is only ninjas and demons with artifacts and stuff to make the ninjas themselves unblockable with flying and stuff. Way more fun then just loading a bunch of unblockable pingers and cheating out fat things to get you hated on. Just my take though.

I build a Satoru deck, and indeed it gets a lot. People are not very keen on you playing a blighsteel or void winnower for just 4 mana.

I’m new to magic but I want to make an optimal deck with this commander. Anyone have any current updates on this deck ?

Thought I should say, can't build Gyruda as companion since Satoru is 3 cmc as far as I know?

You're right! I honestly wasn't thinking about using him as a companion...

Just one question: i can use ninjutsu on a creature that i have just "ninjutsed"? I mean. I attack with a "changeling outcast" and i ninjutsu peregrin drake from my hand. Now that peregrin drake is not blocked itself, so i can swap peregrin drake again with another ninjutsu creature in my hand? or i need another different attacker to ninjutsu another card from my hand?

If two creatures have ninjutsu, they can repeatedly ninja into play!

@@albingallo124 That's correct. All the way until the combat step ends, if a creature attacked and was unblocked and even after damage you can ninjutsu that creature as many times as you want/can. Just remember though with Satoru, you wont get his draw ability if he is the one ninjutsu'ed back to your hand. he needs to be on the field to get his first ability to trigger.

New player here. Having a hard time understanding the infinite with satoru and peregrine drake. Can anyone else explain how it happens? I know that if something is tapped and attacking without being blocked, you can Ninjutsu. You just need the mana to do so...but how does the infinite start? Ty

So, looking back at this video, each creature needs to untap mana. Which is excessive. You would need Great Whale and Peregrine Drake entering to generate infinite mana. However, if you have Peregrine and say Mistblade Shinobi, you will have the chance to make infinite 'enter the battlefield' triggers (cause that loop only costs 5 mana)

Is there running water in the background the whole time or am I like, losing my mind? It sounds like there's an aquarium or something burbling near the mike

Ok so the combo is very poorly explained and really misleading. Basically, if you have 5 lands (one of which is Dimir Aqueduct) you can produce 6 mana. With a one mana nijutsu dude like Mistblade Shinobi and peregrin drake it costs 5 total mana to switch the two creatures in the attack phase. The sixth mana you generate every time you ninjutsu the peregrin drake is where the infinite mana is generated. It's a goofy combo, but it does work. Let's just say, I've 'matured' since I made this video

He killed almost all the table

If you get infinite mana during your combat phase won’t you lose it as you change to your second main? Meaning…you can’t just cast infinite creatures. You would have to basically saying you’re going infinite, then cast whatever is in your hand/can draw before you change phases. Super important to understand.

Late reply but I just found this video: So one trick with ninjutsu is that after one ninjutsu ability resolves you are still in a pre-damage phase and the card you just ninjutsued is an unblocked attacker therefore, a legal target for more ninjutsu abilities. Basically you say: Unblocked attacker A -> cast Ninjutsu ability 1 -> Ninjutsu 1 resolves -> enter battlefield triggers and resolves -> cast Ninjutsu ability 2 -> Ninjutsu ability 2 resolves -> enter battlefield ability triggers and resolves -> repeat as necessary. You don't need your second main phase because you're doing all this in the phase between the end of declare blockers and before damage. WoTC put out a ninjutsu tips video and explained this is completely legal as long as you can pay the costs.

With all of these new ninjas released, would you say they're in the meta at all? I'm asking for a friend...

Ninjitsu only returns attacking unblocked creatures. When you ninjitsu the creature comes in already tapped and attacking. It won’t trigger the next ninjitsu ability because the creature is already attacking, not declaring attack to set the triggers in motion. It’s written in the rules text so the infinite combos like these won’t work. Basically, you can’t ninjitsu a creature that came into play off ninjitsu in the same turn unless you give it haste and another combat step.
