    My middle school coach showed us this interview back in 06-07. We thought it was funny af lol but it bit us in the ass after we lost to a rival. We all cried and was mad as hell and I'll never forget when he stood up and talked about this interview and asked us if we get what KG was talking about. We all stopped crying and went on to OBLITERATE EVERYTHING IN OUR PATH! Beating the same team we lost to the next 2x by 63 combined points. Winning the championship.

    I always imagined that KG not skipping college to play for John Thompson and the Georgetown Hoyas. That would have ment KG and Allen Iverson would have been on same squad.

    For Glen Taylor to call this man out about a lack of effort...KG will always be my favorite player of all time. He is and will always be THE TIMBERWOLVES. That franchise is absolute trash and the fact that his #21 isn't in the rafters is a true tragedy.

    I'm overwhelmingly thankful for the player and this tribute to him. It really hits me in all the right places I need to be hit every time. In this mans trials and tribulations it's still crazy to me how relatable a lot of life's ups and downs hit all of us in one way or another. When it's game time and I really need it, I find this video, and I remember the first time I watched it, the next times I watched it, I remember watching those games and playing in my own. A burning inspiration, a fire that may at times dwindle but can ignite and never go out. I'm just thankful man. RIP to those we've lost, and thanks to all of those who gave me an opportunity. Who gave us an opportunity. Be strong.

    And this is why he is my favorite player of all time. He deserved better abs sota was not putting the dogs around him. His career in sota could have been better if they had put couple dogs around him. Was happy when he left and won.

    I sent this to myself and I listen to it everyday. Even to the point I visited my father recently and on the fridge there was a photo of the entire family including me. I see now my picture is gone but they have a new picture up but with my younger cousin with my brothers and I’m nowhere to be found. That cut me so deep because I know why. As I got older I became stagnant not makin much moves in my life. Subconsciously because everything I tried to do never worked out and I never got any support at all to grow. No excuse to remove your son off the fridge like that but something so small cut me so deep that the minute I was by myself away from my brothers I started to crumble a little bit recognizing how much of a loser I became. Reminded me of this video and it still hits. I’m tired of fuckin losing and being compared to. Yes I more than well am doing something about it. I’m tired of being tired

  • @ZeusAVI

    @ZeusAVI

    7 straight playoff appearances, 6 straight of those were 1st round exits, the most recent prior to this interview a 2004 conference Finals loss to the Lakers. KG was getting tired of not being able to compete with the other teams at that point.
