I grew up with an alcoholic father and extended family. Growing up in a place where alcohol is more important than everything else is soul crushing. The nights I spent as a child, sleeping in bars with coats over me for blankets while the 'adults' drank themselves out of their minds are still too sad to think about. Through the grace of God I cut all ties and made a better life for myself. I thank God every day for showing up.

I just wish someone would have said at my lockdowns get away and stay away. Some people don't deserve children. They are so messed up. Today, people are even mutilating their children's gender identity and using hormones to change them. Are they doing surgery now? Children should be loved, protected, and accepted just the way they are. Children come loving, they will do anything to please parents. Even act like the other gender if that what it takes.

Drew didn't act again until 1993 she was a teen. this bs was just to scandalize her name and clearly her mom was high as hell and drunk in most of them.

The Barrymoore family is show business royalty, it didn’t start with ET or her mother. Neither did the vacant parenting (I assume). Awful that there was not a single adult kin there for her through all those years. She’s amazingly strong to have survived and evolved and healed like she has. I’m not sure show business helped her per say, but it was the one thing she experienced from a very young age that made her feel valued, safe and connected to people. That’s what she held on to, a d it could have killed her as it’s a treacherous business. So despite show business she managed to survive. The only legacy her family had to offer was the Barrymoore name.

Drowning their problems, instead of facing them, and fixing them. I don't need either. I face my challenges, and by that, don't repeat the same cycle over and over, but learn and grow. I challenge people to be who they are to afraid to be, without having alcohol as an excuse. Especially those who love dancing, as soon as they get a drink, but are too shy to say that they actually do.. You know, having fun is a state of mind, and most people get there by drinking alcohol, because it turns off their inner dialog.. Which is why some people get violent and do terrible things when drunk..
