Pile 3: at the end of the day, had I not called my mother out on her toxicity - she’d still be choosing to be toxic in our relationship. She had more than enough time to choose to do the right thing; but she didn’t and that’s not my problem. I refuse to deal with toxicity appearing in my life even if that means removing my toxic mother. She knows what she needs to do, but she’s not actually interested in healing herself.
