Kai is awesome. He has played all kinda stuff from jazz to grindcore.

Kai is a beast indeed! Great reaction.

I can fall asleep to Kai's drumming bc it relaxes me, but when I am awake it pumps me up! Love this man, his drumming and amazing soul. ❤️❤️🤘🤘🤘

Long long time ago I asked my friends lil brother if we can finger hook, i said left finger my strongest. I realize in 1/3 of a seccond my huge misstake, im not weak or so but his grip was insane. Yes drummer boy.

Pretty insane, more so considering he is a natural lefty.

It's rumoured he has a brain for each limb and nuclear clocks are set by his timing.

Did you know that Kai actually is Left Handed, but when he learned to play the drums back in... 1976(?) he did it like everyone else, as a Right Handed drummer. A lot of times he is using a symmetrical drum kit and switches between Left and Right Hand lead. The progressive band Leprous from Norway, does that ring any bell? They have a drummer who also is pretty much amazing - Baard Kolstad - and I think you should have a look at him, why not with one of your drummer/drum tech friends. This here is a drum playthrough of Leprous song "The Sky Is Red". i was at 7th grade, we had music and i had to perform a song to my classmates. everyone knew that i play guitar, but i chose drums. played blast beat and growl, got thrown out.

i start thinking that maybe learning how to operation heart surgery is more easy that learning that drumming? :)

It's difficult to "deliverer" when you get bored of the stuff you play. Kai is the drummer of Wintersun and he made this track. So he is playing his style on a song that he made. For Nightwish he is just covering the work of another drummer... And honestly Nightwish are not that difficult to play, so I can understand him feeling bored.

@@stefanoiaconissi2727 Kai is not covering, as Floor is not covering. Tuomas once said: if you try to play as x, then you are just a cover of x. Find your own way. Make the song yours. Yep, look at GLS Wacken 2013. And same goes to Kai. Hellfest 22 sounds good.
