Snake is all class from seeing both your reactions with him. Glad he enjoyed the girls paying homage to a Skid Row song because we know as Nemophila fans all of their covers are done with the utmost respect for the bands they are covering.

It sucks that Skid Row in with hair bands and didn't always get a fair shake when it came to recognizing the talent in the band (besides Bach). I was one of those idiots, until I was jamming with a friend of mine and he started playing the riff to 'Piece Of Me' and I was like 🤯what is that?!🤯 I became a big fan after that, and Slave To The Grind is one of my all-time favorite metal guitar albums. There's awesome songwriting throughout that whole album, so its great seeing a musician on Snake's level give genuine praise to the talent in Nemophila.

I hope Nemophila sees this reaction.

Wholeheartedly agree.

Wow, simply wow. HUGE respect for Snake, the way he spoke, that got me on the verge of tears. For real. I mean, we have seen so many rockstars losing their mind, thinking they were over anyone else, etc. That this kind of rockstars, this kind of humans, this kind of mentors we want to have more around. Not the salty past legends. THANKS for having the balls, (really mean it, as this could go sideways really fast) to get that to Snake. An other guy I think of that gets me to this kind of praise is Herman Li, despite success, he's still so humble and does what he can to showcase other artists. Those guys have earned my eternal resepct. And to be honnest, I NEVER listened to any Skidrow, but as of today, I'll go pay my dilligence and start to listen at them and see what they got. And they probably earned a fan on the process. (edited awful typos)

Never heard NEMOPHILA before but Snake's right. That is the best cover of Youth Gone Wild I've ever heard. I'm going to have to check out more from these gals.

Big fan of Band-Maid, Miku, Kanami, Akane, Misa, and Saiki rock, and Lovebites, Asami, Fami, Haruna, Midori, and Miyako are awesome... missing Miho though. Discovered Band-Maid through The Warning and Lovebites; so, not sure how I missed Nemophila.

As incredible as it may seems today, there's a whole generation of young japanese musicians who deeply know, love and respect the "classic" rock bands. This was a very good exemple, but there's actually a lot of them. It doesn't mean they're stuck in the past, but they have roots, very good roots.

The torch has been handed on the Japan. For now the future of rock and roll is safe in their hands. The last decade of Japanese rock reminds me of being a teenager in the UK in the 1960s.

This could only get more meta if Nemophila get to see Snake's reaction to this. I hope it happens as I know they would love his big smile reaction.

Hey Joel, have a word with Snake about getting Nemophila as a guest on Skid Rows Japan Tour. Just a thought, and 2 tickets for one of the show's if it happens as Nemophila as guests.😂🤣 I was at the Donnington 92' Monster's of Rock, my first time ever seeing Skid Row. All bands were amazing on the day. Iron Maiden, Slayer, WASP, Thunder & The Almighty & of course Skid Row. Shame the heavens opened with rain through your set.

@@haileene703 - I knew that Nemophila had made a Skid Row cover, so I guessed it. And it is such a good cover. So, the reaction was, more or less, spot on what I thought it should be. No one can dislike this.

That’s a classy gentleman. I listened to Skid Row constantly in my younger days. I may have to check them out. Nice job.

Dave, Skid Row WAS my senior year in high school. I wore a SR shirt or my flip-brim hat I bought at a show EVERY DAY. YGW was the theme song for our senior class club (benefits of being the president) so I know this song inside and out. Nemophila is the only japan female band that all of the members is a fan of old rock,heavy metal bands. Metal is not dead, but actually pretty damn alive in japan! They deserve more exposure outside of japan!

@@ChrisPage68 i don't think all of them, miyako, midori, haruna & miho i guess. Asami & fami, questionable... I don't think they listen to old bands as a regular, probably occasionally. Nemophila however are different in this department. But i love lovebites too though. Infact the new album is 10/10 for me! Every tracks scores 10 atleast for me.

I'm just assuming Snake lives in LA or California somewhere, but Nemophila are in California right now, they have a gig on the 8th in San Francisco and LA on the 9th. If he's near, or you are, you should check them out.

You should have told him that Nemophila is not a bunch of second tier armatures. They are all experienced musicians who came from existing great bands, formed this new band, and then Covid happened. So during lock-down they both amused themselves, and their potential future fans by doing loads of cover videos. Each recording their part in the Covid safety of their own homes. Given the number of cover videos they released, one can guess they chose to do covers, because writing and developing new material would not have supplied the volume of songs they needed. This was actually a very clever move. It kept them in the public eye and ears while many other bands kinda sorta disappeared from view during the pandemic. For a new band like Nemophila that might have been death. Anywho, having the women of Nemophila doing a cover of one of your songs that in its own way is as good as yours is no different than having (insert name of major professional band) do a cover of your stuff that is wicked awesome good. and even though the pandemic is over Nemophila has continued to release cove video. Because they are having fun doing it? Maybe? And Mr Sabo showed maximum class!

You need to check Rolling Quartz’s cover of youth. Great cover from South Korea, another all women rock group.

@@Russ.Murphy I thought you were going to drive for some reason. American will help you. I know you don’t have a smart phone, so you can check-in 24 hours prior from a computer and print the QR code. Alternatively,just show up at the airport and the ticket counter will help you. If you haven’t flown sine 911, remember TSA limits liquids in carry on bags. It’s something like 3 ounces per item in a 1 quart zip lock bag. I’m not sure, but you can just check the bag if you don’t want to mess with it.

Please tell me you showed him some Band-Maid as well.

After ripping on the band in the last video I feel a little bad. I didn't realize how young they were, especially the drummer. My opinions still hold - but still - so does my hesitation to rate them so hard. Overall the guitarists are great again, and the singer is definitely cool, and her difficulty with enunciating the words is very endearing and adds to the value of this cover. She's a rock star. The drummer brought a little more energy here, at least hamming it up and showing some personality - but still - hit those drums like you mean it. Play with conviction. I just assumed the band was further along in their career like say Babymetal, but if they're just starting out they're doing great, and I'm glad to see their fans supporting the band.. Dave is a cool guy, and I'm probably taking the full journey with him here, so on to Pink Floyd! Oh boy, I love Floyd. Nightwish is huge, and are definitely up to being heavily scrutinized, but I'll probably end my reactions to the reactions to the covers of these classics right here. This was just me having some fun but I don't want to step on any toes.

@@Dead-Eye Yeh Rick! I'm asking that myself! I've seen videos of Tamu way before Soramimi. I'm kind of confused with Justin's statements! Tamu is 30. She's a mom with two daughters. Very few drummers on this planet can hold a candle to Tamu. She plays drums, marimba, all manner of percussion, all manner of keyboards, bass, saxophone composes Jazz, Fusion, Rock, Metal, and Pop music, and sings. I can't name one other drummer who is as: talented, responsible, dependable, flexible and amicable as Tamu. This guy Justin obviously doesn't know anything about drumming or percussion, and extremely little about Music in general. I suggest he tour with a band as a drummer for about 4 years, if he can last that long, and then evaluate himself, before saying anything derogatory about Tamu's skills.
