I would say to anyone who doesn’t play a musical instrument or sings, it’s worth the effort to learn. You don’t have to be a pro. It doesn’t matter whether you learn other people’s songs or you write your own. With a little effort and time, you’ll be proud of what you can accomplish. There’s research showing that learning to play a musical instrument makes you smarter too. Even if you don’t produce music yourself, It’s great for using your mind/body connection to quickly improve your mood or physical well being. Find the music that makes you happy and when life gets tough, play the right music! It’s a universal language understood around the world and it can connect us all.
