See its Faith First then works see firstfruits. works are great in discipleship and if u dont do good works u are a bad Christian but still saved as its Faith.

Putting God first and trusting he will take care of us and all our needs especially during times like these give me great comfort and gives my children a firm foundation. Thank you for sharing your God-given talents with us. Grace and peace to you and to everyone

Now say you get a raise in March 2025 of that same year ( you go from making $25/hr to make $26/hr,) you can give another first fruit offering because that is your first check with the new hourly raise. Its mind-blowing how God works. I came across the word firstfruit in the bible the other day and wanted clarification. Here I am smiling and understanding Gods word more and more. It is true what James 1:18 says " He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created" and surely, we must be those that "... have been redeemed from mankind as firstfruits for God and the Lamb" - Rev - 14: 4. God Bless

To deny our firstfruits to God, is to deny our very existence. I like to look at it this way. When God brought us in to the world we had nothing. It will be an honour for me to offer up my firstfruits to God when comes the time. If he asks this of me i know he's bringing the true test of my love and sacrifice for him, in Jesus name.

Funny how life works isn’t it? I heard of a man who decided to give the best of his first fruit of a lemon tree he planted on a whim to his church by placing it in the money basket when no one else was looking. Some while later, one of his lemon trees now only produces goliath lemons for him. Now I questioned what I do- if you do any work and are meant to give the first to God. What does that mean for an artist? Specifically one that’s been doing art for years and only just recently came to this knowledge…. I want to do right by God- but still find myself unsure how.

I'll say this as politely as possible, but I can't understand how presenting god, if there is such a being, as a sociopathic, vengeful tyrant is in any way positive. There is a reasonable message hidden deep under the surface about maybe putting others before yourself. Something like... check your neighbour's bowl not to see what you are lacking, but to make sure they have enough. Why positive messages like this have to be tied to strange twisted religious concepts, I will never understand. Amazing animation, though, great job Phil Borst.

+gregkrazanski What you're saying is true, but the stories presented here are told with the idea that there is a Creator God, and that we are His creation. If God made the stars, then we are made of star dust too. A professor who wrote the textbook I am currently studying for my Religion class in University mentioned that phrase -- I'm just paraphrasing. ;)

  • @josephricciardi601

gregkrazanski Greg, and others who may read your comments--I think it all seems like sociopathy for you because you are viewing God in your (our?) limited view of reality: here, now, this and only this. But the believer understands God as transcendent of all that, and accepts on faith a wisdom that we cannot easily grasp, and a trust that God acts in love. So when Abraham offers son as sacrifice, God in not unaware of the struggle this creates for them, and for you and me. But He is also aware that Abraham and Isaac's struggle will be know by millions upon millions for 1000's of years as a way to understand the profound message from God, "I am more important than all your earthly concerns..." and "Trust me..." and when tied to the story of Jesus as son who fulfilled the Abraham/Isaac sacrifice, "I am with you in the struggle..." The point is a child cannot grasp the wisdom of the loving adult mind who says, "Today you will undergo a most painful surgery that will save your life..." A child can only trust that all that pain must be good because it is my loving father who is leading me there, and who sees a future I cannot see or know at present. Your intellect is so clear in your thoughtful comment, Greg. Can you consider that there is an intelligence beyond your own (beyond all of these s) which guides and directs, permits suffering, but with a greater purpose than we can know right now? This is what the believers know.

God is not a vengeful tyrant at all. He is a loving caring creator. Before we even had the opportunity to know that there was a creator, a God who cared for us, he sent His Son to take care of a problem that keeps us all from him (a Holy God) ... SIN. All of us are sinful (imperfect, vengeful people). God gave His FIRST, first. He sent Jesus, his only Son, to take the penalty of sin (death) upon Himself. So, when He asks us to give the firsts of what we have, we choose to do it gladly. Because without Him, we have no life and face an eternity without Him. Also, God takes what we give (the first of our income) and multiplies it back to us (like sowing a seed in the ground and getting produce of much more than we planted). He does NOT need our money. But he uses giving for us to show we need Him. AND he blesses the rest of what we have many times over.

You are misleading yourselves. You can't offer to God anything more than what was offered in Calvery. God Himself says that the blood of bulls never pleased Him. Only the blood of Jesus pleased God. Do you think that the blood that was offered by Christ on the cross was the physical blood? The bible records that He entered the Havenly Temple with His own blood and purified it. Do you think He purified it with physical blood? When you say that you are washed by the blood of Jesus do you mean there is physical blood that comes to wash you. After the death and resurrection of Jesus is there any record of the saints offering anything let alone first fruits to God? Or do you mean to say that Abraham gave Melchizedek a physical tithe? All the physical things were offered to God in the Old Testament. God is Spirit. You can't give Him anything physical. This is why the physical tithe He gave to the physical Priest, Aaron. God does not need your money at all. He has already got the offering that pleased Him. If you give your money to any preacher he doesn't take it to God but to the nearby aircraft dealer to buy his private jet.

This is a good video but here is another idea.... If you understand the sanctuary service you will see that Abel was offering a burnt offering unto God. Cain did not honor God for whatever reason. The only accepted offering to God must be through blood. Even though Cain's offering was pleasant in his eyes it was not in Gods. This is why it was rejected. Noah built an alter and offered burnt offerings when he left the ark.... As soon as sin entered the earth so did a need for a sacrificial system. Abel’s offering was certainly a burnt offering although it is not called such (Genesis 4:4). God instituted the first offering at the fall of Adam and Eve, and the last offering at the cross.....

So if you do not give your first fruit you do not have God's favor at all...poor Cain must have missed the memo about offering the first fruit.

Cain knew what he was to offer, but he didn't. His parents would have instructed him on what to offer, as made evident by Abel knowing what to offer the LORD. And in anger he kills his brother. God will bless whom He wills, but His grace is open to all who will come to Him by His terms. "I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy. And I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion." "For this is the works of God; that you believe in Him whom He sent."

@@lokiloversedits5370, If you read your Bible well, you will find that God doesn't even ask us to tithe. The ONLY people in the entire Bible that were told they had to tithe were the twelve tribes of Israel... ...and the required tithe was to be of agriculture and agricultural food by-products. God never asked, required, or commanded anyone to tithe their monetary income to the House of God. Pastors have handled the word of God deceitfully in order to teach the doctrine that God wants us to tithe our money or that God asks us to tithe our money. He does not. Never did.

@@standingfirminChrist Malachi 3:6-12 This one expressly says to give tithe. Now, to be fair, it is talking to the Israelites, however, it also promises a gift to those who give back to God. 2 Corinthians 9:6-10 Although this one doesn’t expressly say the word “tithe” it does talk about God wanting us to give to him from our hearts. Not because we have to (reflecting back to my original comment) but because we love God and want to give back to him. 1 Chronicles 29:14-17 This one again reflects on giving joyfully but also giving because God is already Lord over all. There are many verses like this where it talks about God owning all, and thus, deserving all. I don’t have an issue not giving to the church, because it’s not about the church. Giving to other Christian organizations I feel is just as appropriate, because the point is giving to God. However I do believe that God asks us to give willingly from our hearts. Adding onto that, I think that it’s sad that any Christian would be unwilling to give to God after all that he has given to us. (I won’t be responding farther. I don’t have an interest in arguing. I’m simply sharing with you my opinion, as well as verses, on this topic. God bless❤️)

@@lokiloversedits5370, It is wrong to claim the blessing promised in Malachi 3:10 if you are not giving the tithe that Malachi is speaking of in the storehouse Malachi is speaking of. Malachi 3:7 calls for a return to God's ordinances. He would not call for a return to God's ordinances in 3:7 and then instruct people to transgress God's ordinances in 3:10. This is how we know Malachi is not speaking of monetary tithes, but agricultural tithes. This is also how we know that Malachi is not instructing anyone other than Levite Priests to bring tithes to the House of God. God's tithe ordinance says that His tithe is to be agriculture and agricultural food by-products, not money. (Lev. 27:30,32; Deut.12:17) God's tithe ordinance says that only Levites are to tithe to the House of God. (Num. 18:21-23; Neh. 10:29,38) If you are not a Levite but are taking tithes to the House of God you are not obeying Malachi 3:10 but are actually using Malachi 3:10 as proof-text to justify disobeying the instruction written therein. If you are taking monetary tithes to the House of God you are not obeying Malachi 3:10 but are using the verse as proof-text to justify disobeying the instruction written therein.

@LokiLovers Edits I don't have a problem giving either but I refuse to be manipulated into thinking I need to pay God 10 percent of my pretax income just to partake ot the savings Grace of Jesus.and the only way I can do that is to hand it to the preacher because somehow the preacher has a more direct contact with Jesus than the regular Christian. I can say with clarity the theif who asked Jesus to take him with him to.paradise did not have to first offer a money tithe or a firstfruit money offering to be told that he would indeed be in paradise with him this day

I gave my chocolate 🍫 offering to the beetle 🐞 and the beetle was the first fruit of my offering and I made sure I’d had enough chocolate 🍫 for myself like Cain The beetle 🐞 was the first fruit 🍎 but the chocolate offering wasn’t the first fruit 🍎 👎 The beetle was the first of my increase and I’d gave the sacrificial chocolate offering 🍫 to God for my greenhouse project

Tithing money is not accepted by God in the new covenant. Read your bible. God doesn't care about works of the flesh to prove anything. He requires OBEDIENCE To his spiritual laws and repentance. This is the propitiation for our sins.

In order to receive a blessing you first have to give the offering to God especially through pencil ✏️ and paper 📝 or Twitter etc. including mail brides 👰 by leaving the mail on the ground it’s like magic ✨ 🎩 for sex according to the Bible before you can receive it and manifest it into the flesh that’s the first fruit principle
