What does it mean to fear the Lord? | Proverbs
Fear is an intense and unpleasant emotion. It rears its ugly head when we become aware of, or anticipate, danger or evil. It is therefore something we wish to avoid, to flee away from.
Yet God’s Word tells us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom.
So what does this mean? How can “fear”, something that we have such a negative reaction to, lead us to something that is positive? What does it mean to “Fear the Lord”?

Father God, thank you for instilling an healthy fear of you in our hearts knowing you have all power to build us up or to break us down, thereby wanting to side with you and your goodness! I therefore bind one to be wise to fear God while binding to hell all lack of fearing God in my life, the lives of my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquintances, opponents and the body of Christ, binding to hell being unequally yoked and having any common share with those lacking wisdom of fearing God, in accordance with this word and proverbs 9:10, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!
