Chark will be the deep threat. I can see Rice (X weak up), McConkey (Y motion slot) and Chark (Z strong back) being the Chargers' 1st team in 11 personnel. This could be fun as hell to watch. Bolt up!

Where spot do you think Palmer plays then? I think he’s more ready than Rice for that X receiver role, having had chemistry with Justin

@@_Mockery Palmer and Rice will rotate until Rice "gets there" imo ... which I doubt will take very long. I can also see both Palmer and Quentin Johnson (if he's figured it out) being groomed for a Deebo Samuel / Jayden Reed joker-type role, with Davis spelling Chark while resuming his place on special teams. Fehoko and Cornelius Johnson may be dropped then brought back to the practice squad, depending on their pre-season production. I see Rice, McConkey and Chark - with Palmer, Quentin Johnson and Davis rounding out the room. The guy I wish they'd hung onto who had a brilliant rapport with Herbert was Jaylen Guyton. In 11 personnel sets I think Rice, McConkey and Chark will eventually shake out as 1st string. In 12 personnel sets I can see Rice & McConkey playing wide as both are not only amazing route runners with flypaper hands, but they are outstanding blockers as well. But it's a 21 personnel pro set grouping that has me genuinely intrigued. Rice/Palmer at SE, Chark/McConkey at flanker, Hurst/Dissly at TE - with smashmouths Edwards and Vidal at RB ... That could be really fun to watch.
