Awesome Video Abbey! I have a healthcare background and would like to specialize my business in that niche. However I'm unsure if I should maybe focus on general admin services first. Since this is all new to me. I am mostly concerned about hipaa compliance and encryption with healthcare.

I really want you to know that when I looked up how to be a VA I was excited. I clicked on this video first and I sat through the first half hopeful-- but I had to stop. I'm almost completely turned off. Maybe not start right out selling an experience and a backstory and answer the question first and allow people to become naturally interested.

Nice video, but I actually still don't have a real picture of what the actual duties are of a Virtual Assistant. The skills are clear, but what does the client in reality ask from a VA?

You may find it helpful to start by determining which services you'd like to offer with the skills that you have and then marketing to clients who need those services. There are lots of general admin tasks that don't need direct experience but you could do if you have the soft skills for it. For example, data entry would require attention to detail.

So for those who haven't learnt any of these skills yet, is it okauy if we learn the skills first before starting the VA business?

Yes! We always recommend starting out with the skills you ALREADY have since skills can be learned along the way! Most VAs start out as general virtual assistants!

This will depend on a number of factors. As a business owner you'll have parameters you like to work in and whatever works best for you and your client.

Hi Pablo, This is a question only you can answer. It depends on the time you have available and how much of it you want to spend working with clients. Some VAs replace their full time income with VA work. Others use it to make extra money on the side of a full time job. And there's every possibility in between. The best part about owning your own VA business is YOU get to decide what works best for you. Good luck!

so if i were to offer email management do the clients just give me their email password? lol

There are a couple of ways to do it depending on how they have their email set up. They may be able to grant you access through what's called delegation or collaboration. If not then they can share their password with you via a tool like Dashlane or LastPass. In either scenario it's important to establish trust between client and VA. You can totally do it!

Somebody has just cheated me the person said that he will give me an online typing job on Studypool If I send him 600 Taka I have sent the money now the page is unavailable now and it's a fake page I am going through a tough situation how can people do this with other people when we should help each other If we have the ability!
