I’m going to start my training soon and after that I get to start my job… is it easy or hard ? And do u look after the same service users all the time long as u keep the job and sometimes do they just tell to go for an hour to ur service users house ?

I’ve recently done sport in college for 3 years. Plan was to do sport with disadvantaged/disabled kids. I’d still like to do that but I think the market is very small for it and I’m thinking about becoming a support worker as even though my preference would be sport the point was to ultimately help them. Plan is to do a course in college or uni but not sure what course would be best for me? I want to teach people with disabilities basic life skills and to see them progress and become more independent. Plan is to do a course and something along side that like a part time job or volunteering! To put on my CV to show I have experience. What would you suggest?

A lot of private companies are requesting for applicants even without qualifications and experience as they offer full in house training.

@@ChewyChops yes I have just got a part time job as a mental health support worker. Ultimately I want to work with youth (teenagers) so I’ll be looking to do some sort of youth qualification in September and go from there

Think again……..he’s probably been given the chance to do it himself before & maybe overfilled it with undiluted cordial so she’s supporting him to put the right amount in with the intention that he learns & remembers from this experience………
