Well, if you look into my eyes, then you should know (If we look up to Him we find wisdom) That there is nothing here to doubt, nothing to fear (That if we are within His presence, we neither doubt nor fear) But of course, this is just an interpretation and my personal perspective. my VERY OWN meaning of "214" ay nanggaling mismo sa experience ko. February 14, 2014 sinagot ako ng girlfriend ko at exactly 2:14 nang madaling araw. Sobrang gandang timing. Kaya by the time na ikinisal kami February 4, 2021 (21-4-2) this song was our wedding song. Greatest day of my life.

I would love to see a new album from you, a theme/movie like this where you tell stories of your life incorporated with new compositions plus old compositions (the ones got famous and ones that never been released, I’m sure you had a few). This video gives me goosebumps; from the family side, experiences, going to the bus, describing the life of a Laguna boi (hello from Sta Rosa). Most importantly, I’m so happy where you are now sir. 214 was my sanctuary when I was a kid and I just want to say you’re my hero. Looking forward for the next big hit from you sir! God bless!

Well if that's your point. You are right and I think he deserves more than money and maybe he doesn't need that. Hater amputa palibhasa wala ka maiambag sa lipunan. Rico Blanco yan tol. Napaka laki naiambag sa lipunan.

This was my husband's song for me. When he passed away, I felt like he already know that he was leaving me that's why he sang this to me. Parang song of goodbye but with affirmation na he will always be with me. I felt every word of this song when he passed and it was sad and happy at the same time. The line, "we can journey to a garden no one knows." is like a journey with him in my dream, in heaven, and in reality. This song helped me grieve and move on. Thank you so much for writing it.

New subscriber here, I felt the sincerity. Not to mention that he really loves/respect his family. More power Sir Rico!

Hats off to you Sir Rico for bringing such a wonderful masterpiece. That is so nostalgic, just pulls back 90's in the very moment. Songs on that era reveberates till present time as they were characterized by sincerity and simplicity. Just none compares. We live still on 214 iconic melody, youthfulness and vibe!

Hearing the behind the scenes of how this legendary OPM songs made is such a surreal feeling; especially how this teenagers can write songs in this caliber.

I'm a senior and not into your generation's kind of music. But since I'm mostly house-bound I find myself visiting u tube and I chanced on your vlog. I like how you narrate things in your life, your songs and this 214 title. I like how you invite/ encourage viewers to give their own idea to the 3 numbers. 👏👌🙂

Nakakatuwa isipin na instead of just telling us the story behind the meaning of 214 is dinala mo talaga kami sa perspective mo at sa mga places kung saan at papano nabuo yung kanta. Sa loob ng 21 minutes at 23 seconds na yun, for a moment, I felt like I was in your world. (baduy ba? haha) You took me to another dimension Rico. Napaka detailed mo mag kwento at smooth yung transition ng scenes with the story you are telling. Another thing na napansin ko is hindi nyo po nakakalimutan yung mga taong nakatrabaho nyo noon, which is humbling. Hindi ka lang po magaling na musician, you are also a good story teller. Nakakatuwa naman malaman yung story behind "214" and straight from the songwriter pa. Marami na rin ako narinig na theories before, and I guess I kinda get why Nathan thought of 2/14 like Valentine's; haha, it's also 'coz of the first working title, "The Proposal." If you recheck the lyrics, it's about a person professing love to another, saying they'll be there 'til forever. And cool enough, when the camera zoomed in on the paper showing the first line, "Am I real?" I thought, too, that that was the number of letters per syllable. I love the song, and many people I know also love it. Rico Blanco, ever since I learned that you wrote the songs for Rivermaya, I've been amazed and thought that you are a gifted songwriter. Glad I grew up listening to OPM bands, lots of beautiful memories.

I really enjoyed this epirode Sir Rico. Thank you.

If I am to think of my 3 favorite Pinoy musicians, I would say (in no particular order) - Rico Blanco, Noel Cabangon and Gary V. Thanks, Corics, for giving us a peek of your humble beginnings. This is an awesome vid. God bless you!

Thank you Rico for sharing this. 214 is been my all time favorite Filipino song because the title itself was full of mystery to me. Not anymore after watching your video;). Believe it or not, I've been searching for the true meaning of the song for ages. The first few minutes I watched your video, I felt bored. I'm kinda direct the point person and don't like "Detours," but then something telling me to wait for a minute and then what got me is how you treat your parents and from there I was sold. I'm glad I did, because the next stop was, you brought me back to places where once I belonged to. Since the Pandemic, I haven't been back home to see my family. They live in Paranaque. And your video not just brought so much emotions to my heart and soul, but you gave me a free tour of those special places, my old routes when I I used to work. So much have changed back home and I want to thank you for sharing this video. Not only that you brought me back/transported me to our motherland briefly, but I've learned so much from this video about love, patience and respect. Take care and God bless!

Kaya sobrang happy ako na naging Batang 90's ako. The band era. ❤️♥️ Nostalgic maxado sa feeling na nabuhay kami sa era na walang mobile phones. Na we always treasure every song na naririnig namin kasi pahirapan talaga before makabili ng albums. As in lunod na lunod kami, pure talent, music. Hay, sarap balikan. Tsaka panay nood sa MYX at MTV after school. Dun lang ako nakaka panood noon. Sa radyo naman inaabangan yung Top 10 at Top 20. Pinangarap ko pa maging VJ or DJ noon like nung VJ pa si Heart Evangelista. LOL

Watching as of now Feb. 21, 2022.. 214 di ko makakalimutan ang kantang to, isa ito sa mga song namin nung JS Prom namin nung high school ako year 2005 ..ito yung song nung nglalakad na kme isa.isa para magpalitan ng candles and flowers.. ang candles hawak ng mga girls and yung flowers hawak ng mga boys.. magpapalitan kame isa.isa.. yieehhh bigla tuloy ngflashback sakin yung araw na yun..🥺😍😍

The First time I've heard 214 I fell in love with it and it will go to my all time list OPM Band songs. 214 is like a cypher we must decode it. We are listening to tape pa non rewind kami ng rewind para malaman ang title. Nahuli din namin kasi sa umpisa ng kanta "Am I Real" wala ng iba pang sinabi sa kanta na 214 na am I real kahit sa chorus wala na. Thank You Rivermaya, Thank You Rico for this Amazing and Lovely Song. I'm 49 years old now and still listening to your songs. God Bless!
