This is a fairly old video now but the Insta360 Go 3 was just released. It's a split camera with the small standalone having a 45 minute runtime. Put it in the docking station and it becomes a multi use camera lasting 170 minutes, a little less than 3 hours. It may be what you're looking for. I'm waiting on mine now.

Perfect picture quality 4k, low light, record, play, stop, rewind, forward. Stabilization, Reliability, ease of use. Small, light weight, durable, awesome battery life and sound. No frills needed. Pro post process software included.

Session 4 was never got fixed firmware. It goes crazy, invisible menu bug. But I have the hero 7 Black now, no issues. So I will keep it. And until I know I can get a lens on new camera, I won't upgrade. Only issue is the door is easy to loose if you open up it.

I don't bother with stabilisation as I have it mounted to my chin guard, but stabilisation won't help against all movement just up and down, side to side, corner to corner, not back and forth, rotation, that's what a gimbal is for. But I don't need a gimbal if I use chin cam set up.

4k requires a powerful modern computer. When I bought my current pc it was not the best time, prices on graphics cards were insane, and sold fast. I got the card that mad emost sense, least crazy price but great performer. This year my ssd died on my PC, so I bought a beast of an editing, gaming pc, Rtx 3090 TUF , so now I can edit 4k, the old pc with gtx Strix 980 did 2.7k but was slow, and rendering had to be set at slowest speed, but still a good pc, so I fixed it, new to me motherboard, slight upgrade, ssd, new case. No need to throw away a pc if it can be fixed. I almost finished my lastest ride project in 2.7k. But future vids will be 4k, and with Nd filter if needed, so skies won't be blown out.

I own all the go pros that came out from the very first 35mm they put out. The bones go pro has no screen and aimed for fpv drones and yes. It can work great for pov. Just like all the other go pros you used our phone to change the settings. The Go Pro bones might just be a vlog or pov and the Go Pro is good but to me …now the go pro max one click to switch from regular go pro to 360 the new Insta has a lot of parts. I like my go pros. If I go for the perfect video the content has to great to match. Maybe change color to flat. All the new cameras coming out either has to many parts or lack the little white one lacks sd car and screen. The newer 360 has parts to carry. The only thing Insta has on go pro the 360 is easier. The max is crazy. The session still works. So easy to use. I use a case on my go pros the cases I use has openings for battery and sd card. I can go on and on. I have a lot of cameras. From the knocks offs I named NoPros to older contour roam camera the extra settings are on most cameras. But the session is so simple like the new bones. I’ll be getting one. ..there is external battery for go pros.

No distortion, ND filters, and 4k. I Gopro Hero 7 Black with PeauPro87 (3.37mm, 19mm, f2/8 lens) , I bought it from them already modified, but you can buy the lens, install yourself. I reccomend it, only slightly narrower view, but no distortion, so trails look like they are. I have Polar Pro Nd filters, I got them second hand, I knew hero 7 was reliable, and it proven to be reliable.

1st battery life. no reason for these cameras to eat through the batteries like this in 2022. 2nd get the audio fixed. GoPro 9 known issue are the audio cracks/pops.. 3rd faster on and off mounts..4th stop shuffling my clips around making me have to put them in order manually when i go to edit. Why you mix up my files GoPro?? ugh..My gopro 9 is my first actual gopro.I wanted a gopro so badly for years only to have audio cracks and the other issues to deal with. My 80$ budget action camera has no issues other than no image stabilization ..80$!!! lol..gopro9 was 400+
