Ok, those are the resources... Here is the inside scoop.
Finding the right niche is part art part science and requires a lot of deliberation and sometimes research to get it right.
I can tell you from first-hand experience that the time you spend researching contemplating and with introspection on finding the right niche pays out dividends in the long run.
If you go into a niche that you don't love you're not passionate about her you don't have a deep interest in, eventually, you will get bored and it will feel like work.
If you go into the right niche you will love what you do every single day and it won't feel like work it will feel like fun.
Up until this point in the playlist on how to choose your niche market we've covered all of the specific steps and tactics to find your niche market. We've also covered how to know when you found the right niche market for you in the previous video linked to above.
Once you have the right niche market it's time to get to work and that's what this video is all about.
Your first job is to test that niche market to see if you can generate leads and generate paying customers.
The trick is to get this testing done as quickly, efficiently, and inexpensively as possible.
In the marketing world, there's a lot of talk about a minimum viable product but I don't believe you should even spend the time or energy creating the product unless you have proof that you can sell said product first.
This is where the minimum viable funnel idea comes into play.
As I explained in this video my wife and I sold our membership program to our audience before we had ever created the content within the membership program.
The energy required from us was minimal. We wrote a sales letter, marketing email, and set up a new subscription product in PayPal.
All said and done it took less than a day. Then we emailed our list to see if our audience would indeed purchase an ongoing membership based on what we promised in the sales letter.
The results were exciting and once we saw the sales rolling in we knew that we were onto something big.
At this point, we got to work quickly on creating the core content for the membership program based on the promise we delivered and within 24 hours began delivering members content to our new members while continuing to market the membership program.
Now you might not be creating a membership program right now. You might be attempting to grow an affiliate marketing business. You may be working on a prototype for a new product that solves a specific problem for your audience.
No matter what you're creating it's important for you to figure out what is the minimum viable funnel you can put together to test your idea first before you spend days, weeks, months or years and countless amounts of money developing a product you have no sales data for.
Having friends or family members say "that sounds great, I'd buy that." Is not enough data.
You need to have actual transactional data from people you don't know who uphold out their credit cards and actually completed a check out on an order form. The faster you get to this point the faster you will know whether a product or service is worth your time and energy to create.

Miles, another great teaching. I want to put an exclamation on what you taught here. I sold my company to Nightingale-Conant back in the '90s. As VP of business development at NC, we did this exact thing and called it "dry testing" ...sell a product you don't have and give the money back quickly. The key was to really sell and take the money. This was the only way you really knew there was an actual "hungry and paying" audience. (Also why focus groups don't usually work) This saved us literally hundreds of thousands of dollars and months of time chasing bad ideas down rabbit trails. It's just easier, faster and less expensive to do this today than ever before. Thanks again for the great reminder. Man, I so greatly appreciate how much you are giving of yourself! Thanks for being you! Grateful - Jon Bender

I've struggled for the last 7 months. Bought a "guru package", only to discover I was buying an "IKEA" version of the Online Business. And the instruction manual was so complicated and convoluted, you'd need to buy something else just to get the "inside information." No buyers remorse here. It just let me know you have to stay focused, work hard and persist! So here I am watching this video, and at the end I go, AHA! Miles,, thank you! I'm going to watch the other two video series, and then figure out how I get people to my opt-in page. This is good stuff. I'ma subscriber!

We all had to buy enough info products that left us hanging to get to the point where we got fed up, rolled up the sleeves and just started putting in the work... I went down that same path. Once we realize the 'shortcut' is putting in the work every day and ignoring all those emails, everything starts to click!

okay i'm taking another moment here to write another comment because you give such great information in a concise and clear format. really, really good content. only thing i would say to complement this content is that different techniques will work for different people, so I like to say that people should consider a few approaches before going ahead, whether it's MVP first, or funnel first, or whatever. In any case, good stuff (Y)

Hi Miles, Love your content and how much value you bring. Sorry I can't remember what video I commented under before but I was wondering after you find your niche, is the next stage creating your digital product? Was there a certain person you followed to create yours? Can you suggest anyone that would be great to model or who you did? There is so many great marketers out there, hard to know which one to model. Would love your insight. Thanks Miles, Nick

Tremendous, Miles!!! Quick question though...how do you get an audience of even 10-20 people to just start and offer your "MVP" Minimum Viable Product through your "MVF", as in the blind membership site promise and what platform or where would you offer it? Don't want to over analyze junk but, instead, sort of take the "Fire, Aim, Ready" mindset that you elude to in another of your exceptional, value added videos. Thanks for your wisdom and thanks in advance for addressing this little inquiry. I appreciate any suggestions or examples you may offer folks like me.

I AM LOVING YOUR VIDEOS. As your friends did, I'm launching a podcast documenting my journey as I solve a problem for myself and a large community of others like me. How would you suggest I test it? Should I find a product I would likely feature, build a sales page and run ads to it? or should I just build an opt - in page with an episode as the freebie? (These days, so many people sign up for freebies....and DO NOTHING.) The latter sounds more like an MVP than MVF. Not sure what I should do to get the most data. Heeeelp! Thanks in advance!

Using the opt in as your test is how I'd go about it.... For me on MilesBeckler.com I am on my 3rd different 'lead magnet' and this one is working really really well... Now through testing lead magnets I have several ideas of what doesn't work great and this one is what people truly want... From here I could build paid products, etc. that go deeper to the different parts. Check this video out if you haven't seen it yet... It can help you get all the ideas out and focus in on what can be a lead magnet (or a couple lead magnets) while still keeping room to create something you'd charge for, etc. kzread.info/dash/bejne/aXV5qZmweq_OZrg.html

Hi Miles great video - I have bought KW Finder from your link, have done tons of keyword research and am currently taking your course. With this video a step seems to be missing. I don't understand how you can go from niche selection straight to sales letter & funnel without having content and traffic first. Are you saying that once you select your niche, you need to put up your WP site and write loads of content and THEN do the sales funnel to figure out how you are going to monetize? Thank you in advance.

Hi Miles. Love your material. However it seems to me that when your a total noobie, wont it be easier to sell someone elses product instead of making a sales letter + funnel + making a product + selling out the product. For me personaly, I would like to go into learning how to sing niche. Funny thing however, there are not really any magazines on magazines.com concerning personal singing. Only celebrity singing and gossip. Which im not really interested in. However on Clickbank there is a great advertisement about singing with high gravity. I now dont know how to target my best customer because I cant find the data about people who are interested in singing. Could you give me some advice.

Using Google I found at least three different magazines that are relevant to singing and vocalists... You are right that leveraging an affiliate relationship can speed up the time to market... Which is important!
