Just a trick my grandpa taught me hold the brakes give it just a bit of throttle and hold the throttle still and use the brake pedal to allow it to move forward by giving it more or less brake to control it. It will stop the lunging and rolling back when trying to move slow up a ramp

Nice video. Anyone knows if these will work on a MK5 Supra? Which race ramp model is this one?
I have race ramps as well for my Scat narrow body with the 275's and the work perfectly. Though like you, they aren't easy to drive up onto because of the length. I'm constantly getting in and out of the car to make sure I'm going straight up them.

Hey Steve. I always have someone up there watching. I like them. But, they sure are expensive.
Your rubber/plastic air dams in front of the tires were still dragging. That is the problem I have on my car (not as low as yours), using Rhino ramps and lead-in 2x12 boards. The front cleared by using the 2x12, but not that plastic piece. Was ok on the way up, but caught on the way down. With the longer length of those Race Ramps, it is more difficult to line them up. I would use a tape measure to set the center-center spacing the same as the front tires.

I have a 2020 Charger Scat Widebody and i love my 67"XT one piece 14" wide Race Ramps!!! Best ramps out there.. So easy to get my Widebody up and down. Low profile so no worry about scraping at all. I paid $295 brand new in the box. Worth every penny if you work on your own car.

I completely agree Doug. I have only had mine for a few weeks. But, love the weight and the quality. Thanks so much sir. I really appreciate it!
Despite the stated weight bearing difference, I have seen those plastic ramps break (luckily no one under the vehicle), but my Race Ramps after dozens of uses still almost look brand new and never seen or heard cracking from them.

Not sure the width on your tired but Once of the big issues I had with 305s was getting a ramp that the tire didn't hang over. Raceramps is one of the few that make a ram wide enough for wider tires. They are pricy though.
Do you think you get all the oil out because the car is angled up in the front? Perfect if the drain plug is at the rear.

Definitely want to make sure they hold the weight or that could be bad. Ahhh. Yes. Jack stands. I definitely would.

Yeah. I was a little nervous with a 4400 pound car on ramps that say 3000 combined. Would suck to attempt an oil change and I become an oil spot. ☹️
Oil changes are now $100 where I live at the so Race Ramps it is,4 cars so savings are great.

A very nice review Dad's Garage, I ordered these same ramps and I expect them to be delivered today. This will raise my '12 Chrysler 200 Touring convertible up a lot higher than the two 2x8's stacked with bevels on the drive up end that I was using.

I was a nervous wreck when u we’re going up but a great buy to do your own oil changes. I like the idea of also going to dealerships at times so they can top off everything and just check. But u will definitely save some good money- especially at every 3500 miles u change yours! 👏👍👊

Do your own oil changes and under car checks, don't let anyone do them for you. I know someone who last week had there oil changed at a reputable place and they forgot to tighten the oil plug now his car needs a new engine. Fortunately they had cameras in the shop and were able to confirm the incident and are covering all the cost.

@@dougwatson6406 wow- that was a close one! In reading your comment, I did a foolish thing like blowing my engine to my Pontiac Trans Am/ Firebird ( I forgot exactly) that my Dad painted black and had eagle on it and I didn’t change oil and ruined engine. My poor dad... what a fool I was in HS! The only adult scary incident for me was when my donut was replaced with a new tire, it was not until a few years later that I had a flat and when I went to get the spare, it was not there! They never put it back! I had to wait for road side assistance and had to buy me a spare. So angry!
@DadsGarageDIY

Yeah. I do change it every 3500. The dealer said 7k but....not on my car. LOL. The Tundra is supposed to be 10k and I do it at 5k. Maybe overkill but I don't care. lol. I was nervous driving up it too. If something happens there is going to be a lot of damage to the car. Hurts me to think about.
@DadsGarageDIY

Dang. That would be bad. I know where we get our fleet serviced we have mysteriously had several cross threaded drain plugs. The one thing I dislike the most is you really don't know what oil they are putting in your car. They may tell you one thing but you really don't know.
@dianedo8314
