7:17 this is exactly why I think all of us enjoy your content, you actually make us *think* about transit and *teach* us something new. That’s something that is somewhat lacking with larger Urbanist KZreadrs. Taking your time to make quality videos is more important to the overall “better transit” agenda than extreme quantity of repetitive content. So keep doing what you’re doing! 💪🏾

No love for Europe... Tbh, I kinda get the feeling that most content about European stuff is about Amsterdam. Unless it's Adam Something ranting about Eastern European countries being full boomer about cars.

It would be cool to see a video on the Keystone Service… maybe something about the effects it has on Harrisburg and Lancaster… especially considering that multiple electric trains a day seems quite high-quality for relatively small cities in comparison to the worse service for larger cities

I think you are one of the few youtubers where, if I see that you uploaded a video (shitpost or not) it makes my day and never fails to be fantastic. Also, you have all but convinced me to move to New Jersey at some point in my life...

The state gets a really horrible reputation because of its high cost of living but having lived there for a bit it’s def worth it. If u want to live in the US but have decent access to transit and walkability the only alternative is really New York

Do a video on when battery trains make sense. Or perhaps that's more suited for RMTransit?

I wonder if that implies 30th street station which would (by pure coincidence) be convenient for YOU 🙂 On chartering train: a 5 year mission to go where no passenger train has gone before sounds great, but is harder because you need to get loco engineer qualified to operate on those tracks AND operate a loco with HEP service to the passenger cars. Note that Amtrak has done this in the past with fall train that goes up the freight-only CSX tracks on west coast of Hudson river, hops over the Alfred H Smith bridge south of Casteton on Hudson and head back to NYC on the "waetr level route" where it has plenty of qualified engineers.

at the moment, I am feeling more neutral about my job at a grocery store (which I can walk to despite being in the Philly suburbs) and should be starting graduate school soon (haven't heard anything from the registrar tho so IDK). I'm probably going to move my Illinois Blue Sky series over to my Substack and see what winter brings (after I release my final Yuletide at Devon vlog and do a discussion video for January)-so yeah I'd be up to be paid to do reaserch

I believe its a New Jersey Transit Flag since it has the same colors of the stripe you can see on the trains and buses.

He doesn't hate cars, he hates the infrastructural plannings that cater to cars. He loved a car he bought once but he just hated using it in congested traffic.
