I think that what guys look for in girls are complimentary qualities. I personally am really attracted to girls who are independent, grounded, and aren't trying too hard to attract guys. A girl who does too much and tries too hard kinda comes off as vain and materialistic (I speak for me, so no offense to others who might identify with this), so when I see a girl who is comfortable in her own skin and isn't afraid to be herself that is one of the most attractive things about her. I believe that the right kind of person will come to you if you just be yourself instead of hiding themselves behind cosmetic masks. I also think there's a lot about the eyes and the way they smile, since they speak volumes about who you are as a person. Girls who are emotionally mature, kind and open minded are the ones worth pursuing. It's all the same with guys too, as I said earlier, I guess we look for complimentary qualities in partners.

My honest opinion is that it’s a paradox. Men want a woman this is kind and bold, but not needy and in need of validation. Someone who has self respect and won’t has a fit if he doesn’t reply right away. A girl who won’t reward their poor behaviour and games but remain respectful and honest when approached. In my experience doing this makes you stand out. It shows your confident to show your feelings but have a high self esteem and reassured because you have your own life and won’t hold your breath for them. I think this is the sweet middle that they look for.

He has provided accurate advice. Guys like girls that they can easily make a connection with that means no BS. She in her own way needs to let him know that she likes him and likes being with him. Guys want a girl that is a match to their personality if teases you or dishes out quips about you then be prepared to give him back the same or better. If you want a relationship with him you first need to be his friend.

I'm not sure about this "guys like girls who dig them" thing, I mean if thats the case then who on earth would play hard to get?? I think its human nature that people tend to want what's harder to obtain...Like I always ALWAYS attract guys who I have absolute NO interest in, it's almost like the less im interested, the more they are attracted to me and its really annoying. On the other hand, the guys who I actually like hardly like me back. It's like usually they show interest initially as well, but as I start to show more interest (cuz i really like them. however i did not do anything desperate) they start losing interest. Kinda sad. What would the reason for this be?

It may be because these particular guys that you like may have quite a few options in their social lives, from easy access to potential dates to cherished personal time commitments. Initially, they may like you because it is all lighthearted fun. You two may even flirt. However, as you start showing more interest, it may really start getting real for them. At this point, they may not want to go any further with you because the lighthearted fun is over and they want no commitments.

I respond in a neutral way, and try keeping the conversation really short, but i do try to be polite. And if they are starting to make me feel uncomfortable I kinda ignore them sometimes, like i try not to interact with them. But that even doesn't work sometimes, and its really awkward :( I don't get this as I'm not even a flirtatious person, I don't want to sound conceited but it almost seems to me sometimes that they're being delusional... If anything I dont want any unwanted attention from the very beginning. I guess i'm a friendly person most of the times, does that mean i should stop being friendly towards guys?

tosca donna the right guy will appreciate this, trust me I know from experience..I also experienced what you said but also all he says so I know is true..it depends alot in person more than generally speaking..what I learn from all this is to stay true to myself..the right person will always appreciate these qualities..also they say girls prefer guys who are indiferent, in my case I'm totally put off by that and more attracted to a guy who shows that. cares and puts the effort...we appreciate these qualities in the other person only when we love ourselves enough to to know we'd rather be treated well

@@marishkaspirit really ? i have been working on attracting my crush since more than one year . he is an attractive (and maybe a bit arrogant ) guy that i like and showed him a lot of interest on messenger, We used to chat and he has not showed a lot of interest, actually he is surrounded by many woman. one day i asked him to meet ,he rejected me saying that he is busy he doesn't have free time , since that day we never talked again for now one year and a month, but during all this time he always checks almost all of my instastories , till today, and he has even voted in the polls that i posted on instastory (3 times) And when we met by coïncidence for 2, 3 times (it was one month after the day i asked him to meet ) he stared at me in the eyes non stop, even when i look away (my friend told me that he kept staring for a long time :p ).. and since he has moved to another city during all this time ( for work ) recently i knew that he is going back in the new year , and we both are studying in similar fields , so in two months am gonna meet him during the traineeship and i don't think this could be hasard, i really used to and still believe that we will end up together ! And am a bit nervous on how i should act with him when i see him, the times we met last year i acted as if he were a stranger ( i was really hurt and didn't want to seem needy and desperate, that's why i ignored him ) sorry i wrote lots of details but if you don't mind i want your point of view on my situation and some tips if you have 😊

First and foremost, she should stop looking for romance/guys at this time. Her priority should be herself and building her self esteem. A good way to work on this is to get her to start developing relationships with people who have high self esteem or who are in positive romantic relationships. If she is willing, she will learn from them and start incorporating their positive approach to life into her own life.

Who talk to you and don't play mind games or do everything in the world to get their attention rather than just talk.

My flatmate initiated flirting with me a few weeks ago. He was using open body language. Touching my arm countless times and smiling while looking into my eyes. It made me feel so special. A couple weeks later he outright told me "You know I like you?" I looked at him slightly quizzically and he almost backtracked "I mean as a friend, not in a creepy way" Later he told me jokes that made me laugh a lot. He behaves this way with me only when he's drunk. He even invited me to hang out with him and his dogs at his house. Thing is he's married but I don't know what the situation is between him and his wife. He doesn't sleep there obviously, because he sleeps at the shared flat. I did go to his house one day when his wife was there. He was really sweet and spent a fair amount of time talking to just me. He handed me dog treats to feed his dogs. His wife was nice. She said hello and smiled on first meeting me but then hardly spoke to me after that. Following that visit to his house I distanced myself because he's married. I gathered the purpose of the invite was for him to get the message through to me that he's married because I suspect he could see I was developing feelings for him. I would now stay in my room. Sometimes he wouldn't see me for days. Now, not only the flirting but normal conversation is almost non-existent. He no longer shares his life stories with me etc and seems he no longer gives me the time of day. But something strange happened today. I got back this morning from the supermarket. He was about to leave as I arrived. I told him I thought a bird had crapped on my head but that I wasnt sure. I thought he would just have a look but he immediately proceeded to wipe it off with his bare hands. That threw me. The thing is I had begun to develop feelings for him and I still do have feelings for him but I'm having to fight them every day because he's married. I don't easily fall for guys. It's rare for that to happen with me. I can't figure out what is going on with him.
