@user-us8rv, first off -- lighten up with your inflammatory rhetoric -- "insulting" and "pathetic" . Your own cherry picked year has only 4 linemen, and 60% skill guys... If you look at this year 2025, the year I was referencing, and most years Southern California has been and is lacking in the number of difference makers in the trenches that you find in SEC country. The 2025 California class has only one lineman, EDGE Nassir Wyatt from Mater Dei., in the top 10. This pattern follows if you go back, so I'm not sure what your point is... Arguing that Southern California has the depth elite talent for both offensive and defensive line (especially at tackles on both sides of the line is absurd). The president brought in Mike Bohn who was great while he lasted. Jen Cohen did an outstanding job for Washington & she is a good hire at the very least.

S as far USC recruiting we never been fast start but we always been great closer 😁. Don't panic

All USC needs to do is get the NIL together, by hiring someone that knows the business of applying money to the Right recruits. Developed players and start getting them drafted out of USC into the pros ,more than not

It's one thing to get good coaches, but you also need to get great players. But the problems run far deeper. I don't think we should have hired Riley. I think it was a mistake to hire Folt and Cohen. I think it's inexcusable that we lack a robust NIL. And I find it even more inexcusable given that Folt thought it was a good idea to join the Big Ten and force USC to endure extremely difficult schedules and multiple cross-country trips year after year while lacking a robust NIL, and while other teams play cupcakes. And I believe that Folt doesn't care if we have a top-notch football program, as it wasn't her priority whatsoever at UNC. When you consider all of these factors together, the future for USC does not look bright. Rather, it looks like more of the same mediocrity that we have suffered through for the last decade, much of which is attributable to terrible hiring choices (Helton, Swann, Haden, Grinch, Folt, and Cohen). And if you don't learn lessons from history, history is bound to repeat itself. USC needs major changes. Folt should be fired. Cohen should be fired. If Riley doesn't improve in the next two or three years, he should be fired. But the end of the day, this is USC. The last decade has been unacceptable.

What I think about USC recruiting, well I think what USC'S main problem of recruiting. Is the damage that Clay Helton left the program in. His devolvement program sucked under him. He allowed a lot of USC players to go undrafted under his watch. He loss the recruiting landscape to the 75% level. I mean recruited some good recruits but loss major, major top 5 star and 4 star offensive line men and defensive lineman. What we have and been having is a system in college football that's one sided. We have 3 recruiting agencies 247, on3, and rivals that straight kiss the ass of the SEC. It's a problem in college football and baseball, where your making things to favor the southern region. Baseball you block more regional teams than you allow in. Yet you load the box with a overload of SEC team's. Why else are ending up with a all SEC national watchless national championships. I mean it's amazing how we keep ending up with this bullshit hustle. It's drew up this way but how you block other regions from playing. Football you allow the SEC to play themselves in football and play garbage non conference schedule. It's full of cupcakes all through their schedule. Yet the system gives out good rankings for playing beating a cupcake by 50 points. It giving to the whole SEC, why do things that half the SEC been rank in the top 25. While other conferences are playing top home and away games. We even see the SEC getting away playing neutral sites. What in the hell is that about?? SEC bullshit. Now the NIL is another animal, our recruiting is being steer to the south by a plan to get rid of USC under that sanctioned ban. People our players have fallen for a plan developed by college football crooked organizations. By allowing ESPN to work with the SEC. It's drafted 80% from the SEC, that's the plan, to make our west coast kids think it's best for them to leave the west coast to go pro. It's a hustle game going on and it didn't help leaving Helton on the sidelines for years killing our recruiting landscape, bottom line. We're losing recruiting by the ban and by the system that's been for the SEC, draft more players from SEC. Make recruiting about the SEC, why do things California has one of the best high school football programs in the country. Yet were getting low rankings from these bullshit big 3 recruiting agencies, their trash and hate all day on USC.

I would add that each year the number of guys that are drafted into the NFL and representation in the NFL has a much higher representation of California kids than you see in the recruiting services and their projections. You bring up a lot of solid points. Fight on!

I just want you to know the Georgia fans on the On3 site just love your show. You guys are so funny. You actually believe it's about NIL?😂 You are wasting your time recruiting in Kirby Country. You can have Kirby's 3 star crumbs but you will not sign a 5 star in the state of Georgia Kirby wants. USC football program is so 20 years ago.

I think it’s harder these days because it’s hard to get over the mediocrity hump for any school/program once it sets in, and you’re currently a campus in a rough urban area and city that’s in the midst of self destruction due to bad governance with no end in sight.
