At 07:33- to 07:46 to give you a little trivia, Australian Tunnelers served multiple roles on the front. Some were infantry before they became tunneler, but the majority of Australian Tunnelers were engineers, logistical personnel and artillerymen. They were mainly recruited from other units due to their knowledge of ordnance, explosives and engineering. When they weren't tunneling they sometimes returned to their old unit and specialization to cover battlefield loses.

The armoured train that appeared for half a second is actually the legendary Russian Zaamurets train (note the iconic double round turrets). This train was built in 1916 and first fought against the Austrians in Galicia, but then captured by the Bolsheviks in 1917 after the Russian Civil War broke out. It was then captured by the Czech Legion in 1918 and embarked upon he epic fighting journey from Ukraine to China, through the Trans-Siberian Railways. The train ultimately ended up in Chinese warlord Zhang Zuolin's hands and fought in China's civil war before finally being captured by the invading Japanese in 1931, at the dawn of WWII. That's what I call an awesome story.

I'm quite surprised there is no reference to the french army. I mean, it was one of the main forces during this war, it had a lot more soldiers engaged (and a lot more who died), the center of the conflict was in France. This army also had planes, the said-so best tanks of the war (Renault FT), etc... I'd be pretty disapointed if it wasn't shown at all. I think it would be interresting to have multilateral battles : not only Americans vs Germans or British vs Ottomans, but British, French and Americans (with 3 different spawns) not on the same team but allied with each other, vs Germans and Austrians. I think it could be great

Yes they were, at 5:56 there were latter- war French Infantry. I guess everyone is distracted by the German to recognize the soldiers they next scene. Admittedly I didn't notice it at first either, it wasn't until later that I scrutinized the scene and realized they weren't M1917 Brodie Helmets, But M15 Adrian Helmets. Now they were distributed amongst the Entente, but mainly to France's co belligerents and colonies, i.e. French Morocco, French Algeria and French Indochina. Both the British and the French brought up foreign fighters to join their armies in individual regiments, similar to the Harlem Hellfighters that we've been hearing about. Great Britain and her allies used The M1917 Brodie Helmet, so if find it hard to imagine these are anyone but French. This seems to be a small piece of information but trust me, it's most likely true (not being arrogant) also the point you brought up about their importance to the war is probably the driving point in this. France is in the game.
