Yes, Dimash is classically trained (and was offered a position as an opera singer at the Astana Opera of Kazakhstan), but you seriously have not heard anything yet! While this is a cool song, it really doesn't reveal just what kind of singer Dimash really is. Listen to more of his stuff. He is also a composer, a multi-instrumentalist, and his music videos are out of this world. Oh, and most importantly, he is a wonderful, humble, gentle human being without the big ego / big head of many great starts.

This is a very unique song to make your first Dimash reaction but I can't say it was a mistake lol

I'm loving that he was blown away by this song as it shows Dimash was absolutely right in combining pop with his trademark vocals and he's done it with a complete earworm of a song that he composed himself.

Across Endless Dimensions , and When I've Got You (vampire Dimash), Ave Maria which billionaire Russian composer wrote for him and usually plays piano when Dimash sings. There are a hundred more to listen to, so just see what resonates with you. Dimash is a very soft spoken, gentle, kind man from Kazakhstan, and has been studying music and styles of singing since he was 5. He turns 30 this May 24. He is without a doubt, the GOAT. There is no one in my lifetime that I can compare his ranges to. From bass to soprano to whistle tone to bass again and holding notes for 20+ seconds. 7 octaves including E7. 16 different languages used in his songs (he speaks English, Kazakh, and Russian fluently). 💯🤯🤯🤯👏🙌

I loved this reaction mainly because it's a smack in the face to all the people who said that Dimash has forgotten his roots and betrayed his vocal gift by singing "a cheap throwaway song" like Smoke. You have no idea what awaits you when you find songs like SOS, Stranger, Ikanaide and Samaltau. I never subscribe to a channel on a first reaction but I actually have this time because I'm eagerly awaiting your reaction to watching what he can really do vocally. I don’t understand how anyone can think this song is simple. 😅 The sounds in the background are crazy creative! And the Dombra never sounded better. ❤ Yes, it’s not long enough for the usual million key changes, but it took lots of work and tinkering to make all of it sound this "simple"! Also I realized when I heard this, that I kinda missed his high opera voice a little. Even though his deep voice just as gorgeous. 🥰 Just the amount of time that passed between this and Join Hands was a little long. 😅 And I agree this was just the beginning. Can’t wait to see him react to the other songs as well. 🤩

We first heard this song at his concert in Hong Kong on December 23, 2023. And the official music video is coming soon. But we Dears (Dimash fans) can be very impatient, so we're glad he released this performance video. I love this site from Dimash. Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads, RnB and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country (and he still does). And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. You can't compare him to any other singer on this planet. He has so many different music genres and styles. He loves Freddie Mercury, but also Michael Jackson, Lara Fabian, Luciano Pavarotti and Eminem and you can also hear that one or the other has an influence on some of his songs. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. It's a Kazakh band that wrote this song in 1998. However, Dimash sang it differently. And in my opinion much better 😄. The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. If possible, always watch the videos from start to finish. Very often there are interesting things to learn. Either there’s something to laugh about, or he’s talking to his audience. He always thanks his musicians. He is incredibly humble and never acts like a star. When he is praised, he constantly says that it is thanks to his teachers and his parents, who made it all possible for him. He’s just incredible.
