I cried when Cassini reached ultimate discontinuity. This made me cry again. I remember seeing all the people who had been part of this mission for so many years with tears in their eyes and pride in their smiles. Thank you for posting this video!

It is quite simply phenomenal, and incredibly sad, that a group of people on a planet that was really just beginning to come to terms with the post-WWII science and technology surge, managed to pull this off, using planetary gravity to assist in the navigation of the solar system, when here and now, we have a bunch of ungrateful, ignorant morons who can barely put together a coherent sentence, claiming that it's all "Fake", "CGI"... Disgraceful.

Every time I see a picture from one of our satellites aimed back at us from what ever moon or planet it's researching, I am just at a loss for words. The pale blue dot, the blue dot with a white dot near it, it just never ceases to amaze me just how small or far we are from these cosmic wonders. And how far humanity has come in terms of space exploration and research.

It is awesome!

I worked at JPL on the two cameras for Cassini. It was an interesting, challenging, and enjoyable project. Certainly pleased that it all worked so well. That wasn't always the case. So impressive to me is the navigational group that programmed the spacecraft during such a complex journey. I would like to see a video of how they did it.

I just wonder how much room on this space ship should be taken to put technology what could take so many pictures and store it in 1997. And more over how the hell these pictures where sent back to earth to make this video if Cassini where made (launch) on 1997? In that case I wonder what kind of technologies they have on today to show us some incredible video 22y later with flying happy Transformers around some far, far galaxies.

As I sit here suffering from a broken rib, this gave me some comfort and helped take my mind off of the intense pain. This was truly beautiful

So pretty much the most badass probe ever made.

The Fact it took CASSINI 7 yrs to get there. Might explain what our chances are of going that far into Space. The Fact we can see much further into Space than will possibly ever Reach. We can see Light yrs into space. An probably never get that far. Mars alone is 6 Mo away travel time. Warp Drive is only one method of cutting travel time.

15:54-16:08 I know that isn't actual footage of Cassini spacecraft burning up, but I'm sure it would have looked something like that. That clip of it burning up kinda made me emotional...lol. I mean, we created this thing and said farewell to it in 1997 knowing it wouldn't return and yet its mission was so extraordinary and majestic. And just like that, my second week of grade 10, it ended...what an ending to such a beautiful story. To think I was born right when it first approached Saturn and started grade ten when it burned up is mind boggling to me, Idk why... So beautiful

I love how you mentioned all the major accomplishments that Cassini-Huygens made. That thing was really breathtaking, and just when you mentioned the Grand Finale, I felt something in my heart. I tracked every single thing about Cassini since I discovered it a few years before the mission ended. I was so sad and proud at the same time when the spacecraft finished it's last task and then plunged into Saturn's atmosphere. Who would think that a $3.26 billion piece of metal could do such great things for us and reach our hearts? Great video, it's truly a gem for me

I’ve seen the jets of water spewing out and instantly freezing described as “cryovolcanoes” and it’s fascinating to see how the same kind of physical / geological behaviors like tectonics apply on worlds with vastly different chemistry, in this case the liquid water under the ice crust having similar properties to molten rock on earth under our solid rock crust.
