i did that the very first time bc i was suspicious it would have or do something but i DID NOT KNOW IT WAS AN ACHIVEMENT

I adore Dark Deception so much, seeing a little bit of how it works behind the scenes is so interesting. I love how the physical map and the mini map are laid out, and I really have to wonder about that Bierce clone considering she only appears after the first chapter. I hope you do the other chapters as well! I’d love to see how the teleporting in the circus works or some of the later interactive “cutscenes”

Thanks goodness I’m not alone lately I’ve been OBSESSED with DD and idk why 😭 But it’s the story and the characters and the👏suit. The. Suit. Im sorry XD but actually I can’t wait for Ch5 to be released, it will be good seeing into the lore and story of Doug ext. I really hope to see an awesome finalle❤

I love how every horror game hides something away from the sights of players

The monkey cutout under the ground is for the achievement if you ring the bell 10 times, it pops out of the ground.

Please do one for all the other chapters. I would love to see more.. And show us how you were able to walk through walls like that. I want to see the anatomy of the game myself.

1:13 Nope, not at all. Two reasons; for one, if you try and jump down from the main platform, the game will teleport you back to the spawn. For two, this would make the run consist of only Bearly Buried and we already have a category for that. Although not sure what would happen if you entered the mannequin portal area; if you could that would might make the game beatable in a minute. 3:21 While you can't see the purple dots, you can see the red arrows in Crazy Carnevil zone 1 if on the top layer and looking down. You can glitch into the map flat area in Elementary Evil, actually. 4:25 This is possible in Mascot Mayhem. 5:48 Telekinesis?

This was a nice look at what goes on behind the scenes while we play this frightening maze game known as Dark Deception. Some of these I didn't even know. 😃 I tink the completed ring behind the stairs is for when you go into the ring alter menu because it shows up right next to where you upgrade your powers.

This is awesome! I hope to see the other chapters sometime! (Especially CH3 - Stranger Sewers!)

I think the monkey bellhop comes out of the ground if you ring the bell too many times... Or something like that. I definitely remember it being there in normal gameplay.

Last bierce is most likely for cutscenes, the ones both she and malak talk to you in that little interlude.

YEEEAAAAH BABYYYY!!!! I WAS LOOKING FOR SOME DARK DECEPTION VIDS LIKE THIS...YOUR MY GUY!!

I feel the copy of Bierce behind the stairs with the ring piece behind her is the cutscenes we have with her because you can see the glow around her when the cutscene is going

I guess the complete ring is there because he appears in the altar-shop down-right (?) at the menu where you can increase your abilities. The model had to be somewhere stored to show it on the graphic. So they placed it under the stairs ^^;

Not sure if anyone has said this but at 6:38 the monkeys CAN get you in that black room, however there is a strange bug with these specific monkeys. The moment they are interrupted, such as hitting a wall and being unable to move or not being able to reach the player. Their ai will break and they will not move again!

6:57 that must've been the bierce before she was animated. she didn't do much before ch4 released

I got warp down in down Elementary Evil!

I never really understood this particular method of level development. It would seem to me that creating a system that requires all these extra reference objects would be unneccessarily resource intensive. Especially when I know for a fact that are other ways of scripting, other ways to deal with such problems in level development that don't seem to need to create clones of npcs and levels and outside of bounds collision and stuff of that nature. I would love to know and understand why this system is proffered. Does it have something to do with ease of creation? Less coding needed?

yes, it is very easy and even more time effective to just call a trigger to clone the reference, and while designing is better to just, alt and move to create an copy than to find that specific item in the several contents of the game.

what do you have against people with oled screens ?

I guess they are deceiving the player

I'd love to cheat at dark deception because I've been stuck on the stupid Malak chase in Agatha's nightmare, AND I have to update it, meaning there's a boss fight I have to go through >:(
