17:31 Fun Fact: more likely than not they are the same colors on the card and their corresponding square but the appearance of a color is largely impacted on the colors around it because of how our eyes work. The artist Josef Albers made lots of paintings based on this aspect of color theory. A simple example is placing a blue tinted off white next to blue & it looks pure white, place that off white next to titanium white, and it looks starkly light blue. It can get really trippy in actual application and many people use the eye drop tool in photoshop to verify examples

Yep like the checkerboard optical illusion with a cylinder "casting a shadow". On the card it's on a black background and on the board it's part of a gradient of shades of that color. Our brain interprets those settings differently and they appear to be different colors.

all it proves to me is that i have no concept of colors equating to emotion beyond the most stereotypical red angry, blue sad, etc because none of those lines gave me any color ideas whatsoever

17:29 I just wanted to say that, though it is possible that the color could be different in the card vs in the board, this probably isn't the case. Color is a tricky topic, and it is very usual that the same colors can look like completely different shades depending on what colors is the main shade surrounded by. This case is the perfect example because in the card you have the color completely surrounded by black, but then in the board you have this same color surrounded by shades that are very similar to it, so it's completely common that these colors would look like differents shades, but if you went to put them together without any other shade between them, they're exactly the same shade

When Courtney was saying the color on the board was different from the card, it reminded me of a video I saw titled “Brown is just orange without context.” Or something like that. (If you google it you’ll probably find it) In that video they talk about how the colors surrounding what we’re looking at change our perception of it. For example, if you look at a dark color in a darker room, it will look lighter because there isn’t anything brighter to compare it to.

I love this game because you can easily make it subjective, like guess who, and it’s really fun to see how you and your friends’ minds work and associate colors to words or items.

CAN I SAY THAT THE GAME IS 100x BETTER PLAYING WITH VIBES?

I am slightly colorblind, my mother is slightly colorblind, my father is red-green colorblind, and I have very few friends. I don’t think this game is playable for me, so watching this is the epitome of living vicariously.

I think the reason why the pigment “seems” different is because the card has more black around it making it more vibrant, colors can look really different depending on their surroundings colors.

Trevor just feels so natural as part of the cast! Love to see him bonding with his new step siblings

They field they play on is primarily grass, but he was referring to the dirt part of the field that constitutes the pitcher's mound, the base paths, and the infield, and batters box.

Loved the secondary plot when they covered their eyes.

we played this over the holidays with the fam and it was so much fun! it’s one of those games that we all enjoyed which is pretty rare, since we have different game tastes. but i love the twist at the end, i can’t wait to see more!
