I’ve never seen any Lucas do it in action, and I try it sometimes, but it just doesn’t feel practical. I feel like ESAM gives it more credit than it needs

Wait you can just, press jump while charging Up Smash and Lucas will be invincible for a second??? The closest thing I knew of to cancel able smash attacks was the 2 frame input Ryu and Ken thing

@@oliviahughes3158 You can jump cancel the first few frames of Lucas up smash and you still get the invincibility

To explain Lucas: You can technically cancel any U-smash with jump in the first 3 frames, but for most characters it isn't useful. However, Lucas gains invincibility on frame 1 of U-smash, so he can use it to go through attacks and immediately use an aerial move to counter it. This is especially useful against ledge attacks and landing aerials.

@@xolotltolox7626 Because it's the slowest up smash in the game. Yes, even slower than Ivysaur or Ike, which is saying a lot. It apparently used to be only 4 frames of invincibility but got buffed in 4.0

I like how when Wadi got his first point he said like “I finally got on the same stupid wavelength as ESAM” and then when he got his second and was now winning he said “great minds think alike” XD which is it XD

I like how they do worse in this quiz than the one where a guy says "I like to knit" and the answer is he plays Luigi.

Love these videos where they actually talk together and don't just do them separately! They have such good chemistry!

They actually don't know you can cancel Lucas upsmash, and they're clowning ESAM while they're all wrong. The top tier of smash ladies and gentlemen.

WaDi is such a personality on the Panda KZread. The underdog in the quizzes, funny reactions, not to mention "Ring deh bell."

It's amusing every time to see other Pandas be so confident and then turns out ESAM is the only one who's right. Whether it's these rant quizes, the slingshot stuff, or whatever lol but hey, they're still good at the game and entertaining (and Josh is just always a good addition to a video)

ESAM is kinda in the same category as Gimr where they both do a lot of labbing and understand a lot of fundamentals of the game, but then don't spend as much time practicing as the others.

little mac one is kinda easy if u know a lot about the game. For one is has to be a move with super armor that looks like kazuyas, little macs forard smash is basically a fast kazuya f smash with armor

I don't know why but this quiz topic is one of my favorites. ESAM rants ALOT about things and it's honestly fun trying to figure out which rant he's on.

For the next one of these you should just have a clip of esam saying "this is the 7th best character in the game." (Mii brawler)

I just love the ending, the fact that Marss and WaDi were in tune for that outro was a nice touch

Marss' "two truths and a lie" applied surprisingly well considering ESAM claiming jab is Lucario's fastest move is flat out wrong since dair is frame 4 lol. Also saying ZSS upsmash is safe is the most bizarre thing bc UFD saying it's -17 is only referring to the very last hit, which would only be shieldable on a platform. On equal ground all you have to do is shield the scoop and it becomes -34.

I feel like for the most part when talking about a character's fastest move it doesn't really make sense to look at something like a dair, even if it technically comes out faster than jab if you're airborne it's still slower after you take into account jumpsquat frames.

​@@meethepie Jumpsquat frames are only ever mentioned when talking about out of shield options. In every other case though they excluded when talking about aerial speeds, especially since they aren't always going to be done immediately from a jump. Nonetheless, Lucario's dair is still objectively faster than jab.

@@Elite4W you can’t ignore the jumpquat frames because those will already sliw you down because you always need to jump before you can actually use it. When using it practically it’s frame 7

​@@Elite4W Yes it's true that the dair technically has a faster startup than jab, but the fact is that startup frame data is mostly relevant during grounded scramble situations, which is why the startup frames for aerials is largely irrelevant unless it comes out faster than their fastest grounded option (including the jumpsquat frames).

@@olympian543 You don't always have to jump to use it. Running off platforms/ledges or as a get-off-me when getting launched all don't require jumpsquat. Some aerials are practically used when falling but I'm not going to include the amount of frames during shff when stating how fast the aerial is.

I got 5. I was very surprised and proud I got the Ike nair one, because that's one of the few moves where you fish for the weak hit more often than the strong hit. And Marss is right, this did feel like 2 Truths and a Lie!

Echoing the sentiment that ESAM needs to be in on this. Like, he shouldn't join the headspace, chipping in his own thoughts, but write an answer down, and see what the other guys say is their guess and then compare. He definitely gets an advantage for being ESAM. But he's trying to interpret ESAM, so there's no guarantee.

I just binged the whole series lately, so i got like 80% right

I would like for you to do another quiz where you have to guess the multiple fighters that y'all did in one of the recent videos.

Riddles did 1 2 jab into grab at the Gimvitational that's how I knew the Kazuya one, and I'm pretty sure he's used that mixup on occasion as Kazuya.

I watched ESAM's "move tier list" videos myself, but I unfortunately only remembered two of these: Pikachu jab lock, and Little Mac's move being compared to Kazuya.
