Most babies are born normally, with 2 or 3% of cases being beyond our control. Anomaly scans are essential for diagnosing and treating rare conditions in babies. Anomaly scans should be done in 18 to 19 weeks to 22 to 24 weeks of gestation. Professional doctors have specific protocols for identifying and documenting certain structures, and they should provide a report if they cannot see the structure during that time. Some things that cannot be seen in an anomaly scan include the head, which is a developing organ, and the cerebrum and cerebellum, which are essential structures in the brain. The size of the head may become smaller during the 7th, 8th, or 9th month, or the baby may be absolutely normal in the 5th month and have fluid in the head after the 7th or 8th month.

I lost my 19days old angel because of genetic disorder of psuedohypoaldosteronism. But at birth she was very healthy weigh 3.1kg was very active. She got sick on her 10th day of life she was in nicu for 9 days and she left us. Mam we are non consegineous parents. Then how a genetic disorder of autosomal recessive scnn1a occurred. Dr told there are 25percent probability for it to occur if u r planning baby further. I already have elder baby girl who is 4.5yrs old. Do we need to undergo further genetically advise

Mam...I had polyhydramnios since 7th month of pregnancy.My baby was affected by esophageal atresia.Anomaly scan can't detect it?.Currently she has done by surgery and under nicu observation.Esophagus was connected with trachea. Now esophagus is separated and connected to stomach. Lungs are affected and there is a lot of infection.Now my baby was serious condition.Will my baby have future problem? .It is worrying to think about her future.
