How will I know if surgery is necessary or if the rupture just needs more time to heal? Happened early december & just checked the ear tonight, there is still a hole with blood behind the membrane but no pain at all.

Definitely go to the chemist and see if you can get a doctor's appointment. If not go to out of hours doctor or call 111

Will it heal in time but can the Dr give medication to help with the pain

I recently had a ruptured eardrum and there's no hearing loss or pain. Even after trauma there were no symptoms of pain. Consulted a doctor and he said it'll be ok. I'd like to confirm if this is a minor injury or serious?

I blew my nose too hard and the doctor said I have a small ruptured eardrum. There is no pain, but I can’t hear properly. He said it can heal in time, but I want to know if I can do weight training during this process.

Should I stop running until my eardrum has healed ?

It's ok to run but if it's windy or your ear hurts take it slow or stop doing it until it heals.

While eardrum is healing can you still have a little pain?

I had a cotton ball in but didn’t know about the vaseline! I’m concerned i did something wrong. Also Around the 10th by Dr apt I found out my right ear drum ruptured. Is it normal to still have intermittent ear pain and slight nausea?? I hope I will be able to hear again. Very concerned!!😢

I busted mine when I was 4 I remember barely I even asked my mom when that happened and she remembers too I was running around with the q tips in my ear and my brother hit it in my head and it busted my ear drum and this was after swimming we were at a hotel at a swimming pool and their was water already in my ear I have awful hearing everyday at school I ask my friends to repeat

Well that sucks for me because i have ear infection and sinus infection, which caused my ear drum to rupture on Monday
